‘Love Actually 2’ Trailer Parody Updates Fans On Stars Careers Today [Video]

A Love Actually 2 Trailer Parody updates fans on what the actors who starred in one of the most watched Christmas movies are up to today.

The British rom-com compiled an impressive group of actors in 2003, many of whom have become some of the most recognized names in the industry.

The Love Actually 2 clip was posted to YouTube by Official Comedy this week, and already has over 190,000 views.

The movie follows eight couples whose love lives are loosely related during a frantic month before Christmas in London, England.

“I am very amused and alarmed by how famous the cast of Love Actually have become because that movie was, in a way, deliberately cast with some not famous people and some famous people,” the film’s writer-director Richard Curtis told United Press International recently.

Love Actually 2 informs fans of the whereabouts of some stellar names in the movie industry today including Colin Firth, Keira Knightley, Martin Freeman, Liam Neeson, Andrew Lincoln, Alan Rickman, and Emma Thompson among others.

The Love Actually 2 video reviews the famous films some of the cast members of the original have appeared in.

Colin Firth doesn’t need introductions. He starred in the role of Mr. Darcy in the 1995 BBC adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic Pride And Prejudice and hasn’t looked back since. Firth is one of the most popular British leading men, who won an Oscar for his 2010 performance as King George VI in The King’s Speech.

Keira Knightley has also become a household name, starring in such films as the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise, Anna Karenina, Pride And Prejudice, Atonement, and many others.

Other LoveActually stars are Hugh Grant, a major British leading man; Liam Neeson, another respected film star; Andrew Lincoln who plays the lead in the hit series The Walking Dead; Martin Freeman who will reprise his starring role as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug; and Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson, both renowned British actors who are beloved for their characters in the Harry Potter franchise.

Curtis adds:

“The fact that Martin Freeman is now in The Hobbit, and Keira Knightley has become so famous. Andrew is in The Walking Dead and even the little boy is in Game of Thrones. That’s quite odd. I think if you try to find good actors, the chances that they’ll go on and do well, do go up.”

The Love Actually 2 trailer follows the release of the 10th Anniversary Edition DVD of the original.

As for Richard Curtis, the director of Love Actually, his latest project About Time will be released on home-video next month.
