La Toya Jackson Marries Long Time Jackson Family Friend
La Toya Jackson, aged 57, doesn’t beat around the bush when it comes to love. The famous Jackson sister married longtime family friend and business partner Jeffre Phillips last week.
The love story between Jackson and Phillips is a romantic one. You may remember when earlier this year the enthusiastic Phillips proposed to La Toya on her reality show.
Apparently, the now happily married couple have continued their relationship in the same romantic vein. The wedding itself was a relatively private affair, but Katherine Jackson, La Toya’s mother and Michael Jackson’s son, Prince were in attendance.
Jeffre Phillips spoke to the Daily Beast in an interview recently. He discussed his relationship with the Jackson family:
“I met everyone in her family before her. I knew Michael and Jermaine and everyone before I met La Toya and to be honest I thought she was the odd one! Then I met her and saw how smart and talented she was and we just became instant friends.”
La Toya Jackson, who previously became famous for her Playboy centerfold pictures, is currently hosting a reality TV series called Life With La Toya on OWN.
The show, which debuted in April this year,will enjoy a second season beginning in December.
La Toya Jackson was previously married to Jack Gordon, who she claims abused her during their marriage.
It seems that this time round La Toya has found true love with a man she has been acquainted with over the course of many years.
