‘The Walking Dead: Season 2’ Arrives On Steam Later This Month

The Walking Dead: Season Two is reportedly headed to Steam later this month.

The folks over at Telltale Games have kept the release date and pricing for the next installment of their wildly popular video game under wraps. However, Ubergizmo reports that information about season two recently arrived courtesy of a recent update on Steam.

Fans of Telltale’s interactive version of The Walking Dead are getting the next batch of episode just in time for the holidays. Unless something drastic changes between now and then, season two should land in the hands of eager players on December 17.

According to IGN, the entire season will reportedly cost $22.49 for a limited time. This is down 10 percent from the game’s retail price of $24.99. If you’re ready to continue the digital adventures of Clementine, then you should seriously anticipate picking up the game before the inevitable price hike.

Check out the official synopsis for The Walking Dead:

“Season two continues the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned by the undead apocalypse. Left to fend for herself, she has been forced to learn how to survive in a world gone mad. Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety. But what can an ordinary child do to stay alive when the living can be just as bad – and sometimes worse – than the dead? As Clementine, you will be tested by situations and dilemmas that will test your morals and your instinct for survival. Your decisions and actions will change the story around you, in this sequel to 2012’s Game of the Year.”

Telltales Games crafted an incredibly intriguing and absorbing interactive counterpart to AMC’s wildly successful zombie-oriented drama The Walking Dead. The game follows a different group of survivors as they navigate the dangerous world of the undead.

Like the television series, The Walking Dead shoves the protagonists into a number of nail-biting scenarios. Instead of merely watching, players make decisions that greatly affect the characters and their situation. It’s extremely rare that a video game offers this sort of deep emotional impact. Fans of the series shouldn’t seriously consider giving it a go.

If you need to get caught up on the first season of the video game series, then swing by Steam with a little extra scratch in your bank account. All five episodes of season one are currently available for only $24.99. That’s a small price to pay for the amount of entertainment Telltale Games packs into the experience.
