Anti-Monarchists Arrested By UK Police, Planned Royal Wedding Protest With Fake Guillotine

A group of Anti-Monarchists were arrested by London Police on Thursday after they learned that the group was planning to dress as executioners and perform a mock execution of a Royal. According to the Guardian police seized a working guillotine and other “execution” based props.

The group of three people advertised their event as a “Zombie Wedding” that would take place in central London. According to police they are being held, “on suspicion of conspiracy to cause public nuisance and breach of the peace.”

While the event may have been portrayed as a violent event a non-arrested activist says the guillotine wasn’t a working model and instead the blade was nothing more than a piece of wood painted to look like a blade.
