Amanda Bynes Wants To Attend Fashion School, Completes Rehab

Amanda Bynes says that she wants to start her own clothing line as she puts a dark chapter in her life behind her after completing rehab at a Malibu facility.

The troubled 27-year-old star is now at her parents’ Los Angeles home to spend the holidays with her family following her court-ordered stay at the center.

Tamar Arminak, Amanda’s mom’s attorney released a statement posted on People.

“Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who’s contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda’s recovery. Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she’s feeling better every day.”

“Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She’s very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared.”

According to Arminak, Amanda Bynes is looking at several colleges and wants to pursue a fashion design career. She has talked about creating her own fashion line in the past.

It wouldn’t be the first time Amanda Bynes participated in the fashion world. In 2007, she created the line called “Dear” for Steve & Barry. However, the company went bankrupt and the partnership ended.

Shortly before being admitted to rehab, Bynes told In Touch that she loves the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen clothing line, the Elizabeth and James line, and she also admires how Justin Bieber dresses.

“My line will be a mixture of sick styles, and it’s going to be for everybody.” Amanda Bynes told the magazine.

For the actress, this year has been a tough one after she was placed on psychiatric hold in July, following an incident in which she was seen standing near a gas can and a small fire in the driveway of a Thousand Oak, California home.

Afterwards, a Judge ordered Ms. Bynes be placed in treatment, which she started in a rehab facility in Malibu.

Throughout this process and following the completion of her treatment, her mother will continue to be responsible for her well-being and finances.

Before she can move on with her life, Amanda Bynes faces a DUI charge, stemming from an incident in 2012, when she allegedly side-swiped a police car. A Judge determined that Amanda is mentally fit to understand the charges against her.

For now Amanda Bynes’ future seems a little brighter than it did just a few months ago. She is next due in court on January 7, 2014 to re-evaluate her situation.
