Keri Russell Burglary: Two Men Arrested For Stolen Property

Actress Keri Russell awoke early this morning to the sound of what turned out to be burglars in her Brooklyn, NY townhouse.

The Americans star was unhurt in the 3 am incident, fortunately, and police subsequently busted two men — described as either a father and son or uncle and nephew team — a few blocks away for allegedly breaking in to another nearby residence. The duo have not yet been charged, but apparently are suspected in the Keri Russell burglary.

According to the New York Daily News, “The former star of Felicity and the Mickey Mouse Club was alone in her Brooklyn Heights [townhouse] about 3 a.m. when was startled awake by the sounds of intruders on the upper floor. The thieves were gone by the time Russell came upstairs — but so, too, were some of her valuables.” Apparently the thieves entered her home through an unlocked first-floor window, and on the way out left the window and the front door wide open.

It hasn’t been determined as yet where Russell’s husband and two kids were at the time of the burglary. She is currently filming season of The Americans in Brooklyn.

E!Online notes that the two suspects were arrested with “a Mac computer, a necklace, a pair of earrings, and a bag in their possession. The men have been charged with criminal possession of her property and with burglary for a different incident.”

Keri Russell had high praise for the responding NYPD officers. “The New York City cops were awesome. They’re bringing my stuff back right now — when does that ever happen?! Everyone is fine. Thank you for your concern.”
