The Terminator reboot may end up using Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, director Alan Taylor originally didn't want to confirm his involvement with the Terminator reboot.
Taylor directed Thor 2: The Dark World and, although some have called the plans for this movie Terminator 5, or whatever they're going to call it (Terminator Begins?), it apparently won't be a continuation of the story but instead will restart the whole series in a whole new way:
"The first one was more of a low-budget horror movie, while the second one was more an amazingly well-produced, glossy thriller with a sci-fi concept. They were both so successful, so there's certain things you learn from them. If you're going to try and enter the franchise, you better try to come in at that level. Also, it's a challenging thing, because what they have in mind is a reboot but not an entirely different way of thinking."
Since they're starting at the beginning, John Connor isn't the primary character (although they're supposedly still looking to fill that role for the Terminator remake) and the focus is once again on Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese... never mind the unstoppable hunk of metal chasing them down. Emilia Clarke is said to be the obvious choice since she worked with Alan Taylor on Game of Thrones, but 21 Jump Street's Brie Larson is also being considered for the role.
Whoever the director chooses for Sarah Conner, the Terminator reboot is intended to be a trilogy with a definite end (what, Arnold won't be back again?). And Paramount says the Terminator 5 release date will definitely be July of 2015. I guess the real question is...who will be playing the Ahhnold?
Do you prefer Emilia Clarke or Brie Larson for the role of Sarah Connor in the Terminator reboot?
