Ex-Destiny’s Child Singer Arrested, Claims Racial Profiling

Farrah Franklin, a former member of Destiny’s Child was arrested on Saturday for “disturbing the peace” and now the singer is claiming that she was detained as part of a racial profiling plan set forth by her arresting officers.

Culver City PD officials however tell a different story in which they state that a call was placed to 911, leading to officers arriving on the scene and arresting Franklin.

Franklin tells TMZ:

“I am really upset about all that has taken place. I have never had a run in with the law before Saturday. On Saturday I was not arrested, I was detained.”

She went on to add:

“There were no female officers on duty and I was required to take off my top and treated unfairly.”

However Culver Police say a female officer was involved in the arrest.

Franklin later added on Twitter:

“YES, I’m okay & YES there WILL be a lawsuit ! F**K da Culver City Police !!!! You cant keep a good girl down.”

If a female officer was part of the arrest and calls were made regarding the singer disturbing the peace it will be amusing to watch her try to sue the Culver City Police Department.
