Kanye West Wants Andy Warhol’s Cousin To Paint A Portrait Of Kim Kardashian
Kanye West has reportedly hired Andy Warhol’s cousin to paint a portrait of his wife-to-be.
Say what you will about the rapper and his onstage antics, but the guy seems to really adore his fiancé Kim Kardashian. Although some people think he’s simply obsessed with a woman who helps him keep his name in the press, others believe the guy is knee-deep in love with the mother of his child. Either way, the two are all over the place right now.
According to ANI, Kanye West recently tapped Andy Warhold’s cousin Monica to paint a picture of Kim Kardashian. Since the iconic artist is no longer with us, the rapper apparently went to the next best thing.
Monica, who currently spends her time in the Tucson, Arizona, firmly believes her late relative would have loved Kim Kardashian simply because she’s in the public eye for no real reason whatsoever.
“She’s an icon. She’s famous for nothing. Andy would have loved her. Kim is beautiful. She’s so manufactured. She looks like a human Barbie,” Monica recently told the New York Post.
Since West wants the piece to resemble the portraits Andy Warhol did during his career, the rapper reached out to Monica for some silk-screen work. Monica told the Post that she decided to dive head-first into this sort of artistry because the process is “extremely physical.”
However, Monica insists she isn’t trying to rip off her famous cousin’s work. In fact, she “never studied Andy” and “never owned a book about him until about a year ago.”
Kanye West has absolutely no problem sharing Kim Kardashian and her famous body with the world. The rapper previously featured his half-naked wife in the video for “Bound 2.” The two famously canoodle on a motorcycle in front of an all too obvious green screen.
Although rumors suggested that Kim’s mom Kris Jenner was nothing short of horrified by the music video for “Bound 2,” Perez Hilton reports that she’s actually quite proud of her daughter’s performance in the clip. Considering Kim previously stared in a very revealing sex tape, she shouldn’t find the clip overwhelmingly shocking.
“I am extremely proud of my daughter Kim, and also very proud of her fiancé Kanye West. He is extremely talented and incredibly artistic,” Jenner reportedly explained.
