Morgan Freeman’s Finger Drawn iPad Portrait Goes Viral [Watch]

A talented British artist posted a video online showing how he created an amazing, photo-realistic image of Morgan Freeman which he made with his finger and an iPad.

The artist, Kyle Lambert, said the project took him over 200 finger-breaking hours. He started with a series of simple brushstrokes gradually making them more and more detailed.

The time lapse video, which you can watch below, shows the process that the artist went through to create the amazingly sharp and true to life Morgan Freeman portrait. The detail on Freeman’s facial hair, freckles and eyes is something to behold, as you can see for yourself.

Lambert spoke to ninemsn about the portrait: “I get very involved in my process so spend a lot of time each day on the painting. I was spending 9-10 hours some days if a certain area I was working on was complicated,” he said.

He continued:”I’ve found with past videos people are more engaged when the subject is familiar to them. I think I must have been watching the movie Oblivion when the idea of Morgan Freeman came to mind.”
