Catherine Zeta-Jones Gets Daily Visit From Michael Douglas, Desperate To Win Her Back

Catherine Zeta-Jones gets a daily visit from husband Michael Douglas, who reportedly makes her pancakes each morning in an attempt to win back his wife.

Douglas makes the daily trip to the couple’s luxury penthouse overlooking Central Park from his temporary bachelor pad, which he moved into when the couple split up this summer.

Reports say that Douglas is now more committed than ever to repairing his marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones, playing the part of caring provider to her and their two children, 13-year-old Dylan and 10-year-old Carys.

But it may take a lot of work to win Catherine back, a friend of the couple told the UK’s Mirror.

“Michael would give his right arm for a reconciliation but Catherine’s warned she is not ready to commit and she’s still not ruled out divorce,” the source said, adding that Catherine is still angry for a remark Michael made that oral sex may have been the cause of his recent bout with tongue cancer.

The source added: “She nursed him through those dark days when cancer almost took his life and she feels the comment about oral sex was like a kick in the teeth.”

The couple reportedly decided to split in August after Douglas returned from the Cannes Film Festival. Douglas was seen in Italy playing golf while Catherine Zeta-Jones remaining in New York alone, fueling rumors of their breakup.

They finally confirmed the split through a representative.

“Catherine and Michael are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage,” a rep for the couple said at the time.

While it was widely reported that they planned to divorce, neither Douglas nor Zeta-Jones actually filed papers.

Then, just two months after their reported split the couple decided to give their marriage another try. In a visit to Live With Kelly and Michael, Douglas revealed that he and Catherine reunited on Halloween to take their kids trick-or-treating.

Michael has also made public statements that seemed optimistic about his relationship with Catherine Zeta-Jones.

“I’ve been away for a while, but everything should hopefully be on the up and up,” Michael said on a Tonight Show appearance. “Sometimes people take a little bit of a break, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s the end. I’m very hopeful.”

Another good sign for the reconciliation — both Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas still wear their wedding rings.
