Ariana Grande Pulls Acceptance Speech Out Of Her Bra After Winning Best New Artist At AMAs

Ariana Grande rocked the 201 American Music Awards with a powerhouse performance of her song “Tattooed Heart” that had the crowd erupting, but it was her reaction to winning Best New Artist and her adorable acceptance speech that earned the young artists the most attention.

Looking clearly shocked with the win, Ariana proceeded to pull her acceptance speech out of her bra and deliver an adorable rapid-fire thank-you to friends and family.

Grande first took the stage after One Direction, giving a stripped down performance of her hit song from Yours Truly. She belted out with a brief a capella version of the song “Baby I” before moving into “Tattooed Heart.”

“I don’t want to say we’re going steady like it’s 1954,” she sang, as her male backup singers gave off a vibe straight out of Motown.

When Ariana finished her performance, the crowd rose to their feet. Lady Gaga was spotted on camera giving Grande a standing ovation.

The performance earned heaping praise for Ariana Grande. Hollywood Life noted:

“The suited guys definitely added a cool element to her performance, but let her shine front and center. Most of the American Music Awards performances go for big, over-the-top special effects and dance moves — but all Ariana needs to bring the crowd at the award show full of major talent to their feet is her magical voice! That’s real talent, right there.”

Ariana barely had time to catch her breath from the performance before she was back on stage to accept the trophy for New Artist of the Year.

She was clearly surprised to hear her name announced, with many fans capturing the reaction on Twitter.

Ariana then pulled her acceptance speech from her bra and stammered through her thank-yous.

“Oh my god, I’m so nervous! Thank you so much,” she said. “I have the most loving supportive fans in ther world. I’m so nervous. My mom made me this thing and I have it in here so that I don’t forget anybody,” she told the room.

All in all, it was an amazing night for Ariana Grande.
