Catherine Zeta-Jones Hospitalized With Bipolar Disorder

Catherine Zeta-Jones has voluntarily checked herself into a mental health facility to deal with her bipolar disorder. The actress, wife to actor Michael Douglas, has been through a lot in the past year with Douglas’ son being incarcerated on drug charges and Douglas fighting and eventually winning a battle with cancer.

Jones has checked into the Silver Hill Hospital in Connecticut to deal with Type II Bipolar Disorder.

According to the actresses rep:

“After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar II Disorder. She’s feeling great and looking forward to starting work this week on her two upcoming films.”

It’s been a tough year for Douglas, first his cancer, then a legal battle with his ex-wife over money made from Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and now his wife’s hospitalization.

Good luck to Zeta-Jones as she deals with her personal issues.
