Hey, Justin Timberlake, Girl Battling Cancer Wants To Meet You #JTMeetAshleigh

Justin Timberlake, are you listening? A courageous girl battling cancer wants to meet you.

A Delaware, Ohio community is coming together to make 20-year-old Ashleigh Hunt’s dream of meeting one of music’s biggest stars a reality.

In August of 2012, Ashleigh, now 20, had some knee pain and the diagnosis she received was devastating; she had osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer.

The community rallied to support her, including Delaware Hayes High School, which has done everything in its power to help the young woman in her fight against the deadly disease.

Part of that support comes in the form of making one of her dreams come true, when Justin Timberlake plays in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday.

Hunt already has tickets to the show, which is sold out, but a senior at the High School, Brooke Zinader, decided to go a step further and launch the Twitter campaign to get Timberlake’s attention on Wednesday.

“She is a part of this community and she went to Hayes. If we could make her dream come true, she’s fighting cancer so something like that could help her out a lot,” Zinader said.

Zinader and Hunt’s supporters hope that JT, as Justin Timberlake is known to fans, will notice the Twitter hashtag #JTmeetashleigh.

The campaign has reportedly reached as far as Florida, Boston, and Delaware. Residents are excited about the prospect that the singer will be made aware of Ashleigh’s wish.

Supporters of the #JTmeetashleigh campaign to get Justin Timberlake’s attention are being very creative and persistent with their tweets, some of which you can see below.

If anything, you can see how much Ashleigh Hunt means to this community in Ohio.

“I just think it’s amazing what we can do as Delaware. It started in Delaware. And moved to central Ohio, all over Ohio and now we’re getting it in other states! It just feels really good,” said senior Lexie Woda.

The local NBC station, NBC4, reports that it has reached out to Nationwide Arena, where the show will take place and an official request has been made for Ashleigh to meet Justin Timberlake.

Now it’s up to the singer’s management team to make it happen.

“Meeting him would pretty much be amazing!” Hunt said.
