Justin Bieber Pleads His Case On ‘All Bad’ [Listen]

Justin Bieber releases “All Bad,” the latest and sixth single in his 10-song “Music Mondays” series.

The usual routine before the midnight premieres of previous songs has seen the teen singer take to Twitter to gee up fans before counting down the last hour.

This week, all of that went out the window. The Biebs has food poisoning and was forced to abort his last Buenos Aires, Argentina concert on Sunday night after seven songs, before he personally told fans he couldn’t continue.

Earlier that day, the 19-year-old posted an Instagram of himself hooked up to a drip, later tweeting

“Not feeling so good. Actually pretty sick. Pulling it together. Argentina we got a show to do. Love u.”

Nevertheless “All Bad” rolled out to iTunes close to midnight. Like previous five singles, this latest is firmly rooted in R&B.

Bieber offers velvet delivery hovering above a Timpani-like beat driven, mid-tempo that features a keyboard motif with shades of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s “Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence.” Once more in relationship territory, the singer pleads his case to a love interest (or possibly women in general), who appears to be mad at him about something.

“It’s another, if it ain’t one thing / Instigators, like pouring fire on propane / The wrong thing, they be worried about / Ooh, you know females / And how they like to run their mouths,” he sings in the verse.

On the chorus, he insists, “They try to get at me (They try to get at me) / Behind your back (your back, your back) / Tryin’ to tell me that I’m just like the others / But I ain’t all bad / No, no, I ain’t all bad / All bad, all bad (x2) / I might make you mad, so mad / My bad, no, I ain’t all bad.”

Can’t think who he’s talking about.

As ever fans rallied on Twitter, trending “FeelBetterJustin” and “StayStrongJustin,” while manager Scooter Braun tweeted,

The Canadian’s briefer than brief description for the new song, simply read, “I promise… I ain’t all bad )- JB.”

The heartthrob could just as easily be talking about his incendiary Believe world tour, most recent items include being snapped leaving a Brazil brothel and starring in a viral video of him sleeping and filmed without his consent by a woman with an explicit history who is now talking to the press.

But it’s not all bad.

Bieber triumphed in the Best Male category at the 2013 MTV European Music Awards this Sunday in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Accepting via video after a build from Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea, the singer thanked his “Beliebers.”

The teen superstar is next scheduled to play Santiago, Chile’s Nacional Stadium on Nov 12.
