Bonnie Disick Dies, Kourtney The Only Kardashian To Attend Funeral

Bonnie Disick died last week after a long illness, and Kourtney Kardashian was the only member of the family to make the trip to New York to support her husband Scott.

Though the 63-year-old Bonnie was reportedly battling a long illness, her death last week was described as sudden. Bonnie Disick was grandmother to Scott and Kourtney’s children, 3-year-old Mason and 1-year-old Penelope.

Scott Disick was reportedly “devastated” by the death of his mother, but when it came to the funeral he had only his wife Kourtney to lean on for support. She was the only Kardashian to make the cross-country trip to attend Bonnie’s funeral.

It may not have been a snub on the Kardashians’ part. The funeral in Bonnie’s native Long Island was described as a small affair, and Kourtney’s sisters have busy lives of their own, with Kim caring for her 4-month-old daughter North with fiance Kanye West. Khloe Kardashian is dealing with her own issues, with a rocky relationship with husband Lamar Odom and reports that she may be selling her home.

After the funeral, Scott was seen getting a bite to eat with his wife and later shopping back home in Los Angeles, but witnesses said he still looked somber.

Bonnie Disick was familiar to fans of the Kardashian reality television empire. She appeared on early episodes of the spinoff show Kourtney and Kim Take New York in 2011, spending a day with Mason when Khloe and sister Kourtney showed up to spend a day with the toddler’s grandparents.

Scott Disick also referred to family struggles on the current season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, revealing that he has a hard time dealing with death and illness due to his father’s ongoing problems with diabetes and heart disease.

Bonnie Disick and her son Scott were reportedly very close. Her cause of death has not been revealed.
