‘Full House’ Stars Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen Done With Movies

Full House stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are done with movies. The girls who took the spotlight from the Doublemint Twins have announced that they don’t want to be on the big screen any more.

One could argue that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are two of the most successful child stars we’ve ever seen. They got their start in the super popular sitcom Full House, where they alternately played the same character, Michelle Tanner. They were part of what fueled the show’s success, but as they grew up, Full House lost some of its appeal as the story-line tried to refocus on the adults and their relationships.

After becoming teenagers, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen found that they couldn’t shake their celebrity status, and didn’t try. They moved on to the big screen with a batch of films that critics panned, and most of their big screen exploits can be found in the bargain bins at your local retailer.

Although Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen weren’t done with movies, they also tried getting into the video gaming business. Much like their movies, the video games they starred in usually ended up only being bought by well-meaning relatives for their pre-teen girls. Everybody else knew better than to risk even being seen at the counter with their games.

Now the famous twins are walking away from the entertainment industry and taking the same route as Emma Watson. Full House stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have gone into fashion and beauty products.

Mary-Kate Olsen told the press:

“We were always hard workers as kids. It’s just the way we are, the way we were raised. Our work ethic was everything, and that never left us. We like to work hard, and we like to try to do everything 100 percent. In fact, it’s actually almost impossible for us not to. Sometimes you succeed and sometimes not so much, but it’s learning.”

Ashley Olsen added:

“We’ve been exposed to so much. We were very fortunate to have parents and people around us who wanted us to be part of the creative meetings and the business meetings, and we would just sit and listen and be sponges. At that time in your life, you really are a sponge. And we’ve learned so much from people we’ve been exposed to in our lives—interesting people from different walks of life, different CEOs. The list goes on and on. Mary-Kate and I have always taken advantage of our time with those people and walked away learning a thing or two.”

With Full House stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen saying they’re done with movies and moving on to fashion and beauty, there is no doubt that they aren’t letting their past failures drag them down.
