Like many girls during their teenage years, Jennifer Lawrence had a crush on a pop star.
While promoting her upcoming adventure flick The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the actress revealed that she had a thing for ‘N Sync’s Justin Timberlake back in the day. At one point during her teenage crush, Lawrence said she was so overwhelmed with emotions that she almost puked. Now that’s devotion.
“My teen crush [was] Justin Timberlake. Early 90s Justin Timberlake. I remember buying the ‘N Sync CD. Remember how CDs had the pull-out picture things? I got so overwhelmed with hormones I almost threw up,” she explained during a recent Q&A session.
In addition to revealing her major crush on Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lawrence took a moment to discuss some of the strange things that happened on the set of Catching Fire. According to the Silver Linings Playbook star, she believed that supernatural entities were slapping her butt. No, seriously.
“We were in the middle of doing this scenes with the monkeys, There were all these choreographed fight. Something just whipped my butt. Something slapped my butt. We’re watching playback. Josh [Hutcherson] is telling me it’s ancient spirits and I’m believing it. Then we slowed down. The end of Sam’s trident and flew off and whacked me in the butt. There was a red mark on my butt. That was funny.”
Jennifer Lawrence reprises her role as Katniss Everdeen in director Francis Lawrence’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. After Katniss and Peeta’s victory at the annual bloodsport, a rebellion begins sweeping through the Districts of Panem. This ultimately turns our heroes into walking targets of the Capitol.
During her recent chat with Entertainment Weekly, Lawrence discussed working with director Francis Lawrence and the emotional turmoil her character experiences in the flick.
“To have a visual director is an incredible thing, but there are also directors who understand the human, real, gritty reality. I didn’t know both could exist together, but Francis can actually really blend both flawlessly,” the actress explained to the magazine.
Catching Fire isn’t the only movie Lawrence has looming on the horizon. The Louisville, Kentucky native also stars in X-Men: Days of Future Past, American Hustle, and Serena. The Inquisitr previously reported that she also has a cameo in Dumb and Dumber To.
