Selena Gomez Says ‘Come And Get It,’ Compares Herself To Taylor Swift

Selena Gomez says, “Come and get it,” but warns the boys she’s not like Taylor Swift. This could heat things up between the two mega celebrities, especially after Taylor Swift told the press they were like sisters.

For anyone not aware, Taylor Swift’s dating life has proven sort of a disaster area. Known for writing her breakup songs about men she’s publicly dated before, Taylor Swift has earned herself a rather bad reputation among the celebrity crowd.

Selena Gomez, on the other hand, has been known mostly as Justin Beiber‘s main squeeze. Even though the two supposedly broke up earlier this year, she apparently still has feelings for the “Baby” singer.

Selena Gomez may be telling the boys to “come and get it,” but adds she’s “always going to be the girl you want to take home to your parents, not for the night.”

In other words, Selena Gomez isn’t into the one night stand or the quick romance.

With those words, it looks like a possible rivalry may be in the works between the two pop singers, unless Taylor Swift is the resilient type. Of course, going through so many breakups in so little time might prove she won’t hold it against Selena Gomez for allegedly slamming her like that. Other celebrity rivalries have sprung up over a lot less than that.

Selena Gomez adds about the differences between herself and Taylor Swift:

“I was very sheltered until about 18 or 19. I still live at home, and I’m 21! She does inspire me like crazy, but I wouldn’t change my path, because it allowed me to figure out all that stuff and do it on my own. … Part of you wants to have that rebellious feeling where you’re just like, forget it – I can do anything I want. I’ve tried it, and I’ve never been that girl.”

Unused to the overall celebrity mentality, or unfazed by it, Selena Gomez says she’s just a regular girl. She likes the junk food, the Mexican and greasy Italian stuff. While that may not bode well for her weight later on, she doesn’t really think it’s that big a deal. The “Come and Get It” singer Selena Gomez just wants to have fun and admits she really doesn’t know what she wants to do with her life.

Selena Gomez says that being in her 20s, she doesn’t really know herself yet, and calls it the decade of confusion.

About her previous entanglement with Justin Beiber, Selena Gomez adds, “You fall in love and it completely consumes you. So a part of you is broken when that’s gone.”

As Selena Gomez tells the world to “come and get it,” she warns she’s not like Taylor Swift, who she says has an “old soul” very unlike her own.
