Drew Barrymore Pregnant With Second Child

Back in October we reported that Drew Barrymore would “very much” like to have another baby with husband Will Kopelman. Now it appears that Barrymore has gotten her wish. The actresses rep confirmed to E!that Barrymore and Kopelman are expecting their second child.

The couple welcomed their first child, Olive, 1 year ago. Before they announced that they were expecting their second child, Drew Barrymore stepped out in West Hollywood on Sunday to debut her growing baby bump.

Back in October during her appearance on the Tonight Show, Barrymore spoke about her childhood, having said:

“I grew up as an only child, and although that really works for some people and for some parents that’s the way they want to do it.”

Barrymore has kept her personal life pretty private after a tumultuous time in the business in the 90s. It seems like she took a lot away from her very public childhood, and that’s that her children will not be child stars like she was. Drew, who comes from acting royalty, got her start in the spotlight by appearing in the 1982 film E.T., and while America fell in love with the little girl with pigtails, Barrymore had a rough time.

Barrymore told Harper’s Bazaar that she knows her kids “didn’t sign up for that.” She elaborated on her tough time in the industry while growing up:

“I had such an exposed childhood. I appreciate my journey, but I don’t want that for my kid. Not any of it. It has nothing to do with whether I liked my childhood. I really did. But as a parent, that isn’t the childhood that I’d provide.”

Opening up on the greatest part of motherhood, Barrymore told Good Housekeeping:

“Every morning when I wake her up, the endgame is, Can I get her to smile? And that puts me in a good mood. It’s definitely a different way to live—and a much better one.”

Now Drew Barrymore will have two smiles to work on!
