Lady Gaga was in London recently to promote her new ARTPOP album. According to a report in the Daily Mirror newspaper, an excited fan slapped a member of her security staff as the singer was leaving the Langham Hotel.

The fan was attempting to reach Lady Gaga simply to touch her, but encountered a wall of security which effectively prevented that from happening.

Another fan uploaded video of the incident on YouTube, with one commentator describing what happened.

“A girl ran in front of the barriers straight at Gaga. One of her bodyguards held out his arm to stop her, but she ran past him and Gaga’s other guard. It looked like she hit the first guy and tried to get to Gaga. Her security were very angry,” the user by the name of Starlight wrote.

“They told the girl she was being blacklisted from the hotel and that Gaga would use the back of the hotel if she turned up. But she appeared again on Monday and was told to leave,” she continued.

Lady Gaga recently referred to some of her fans as “monsters”. Many of them had been
camping outside the hotel for days in an effort to merely catch a glimpse of the star.

The man who shot the video said everyone is now “p****d off” because the alleged culprit continued to return. Because of her selfish actions, Lady Gaga was prevented from spending any more time with other waiting fans.

But not all Lady Gaga’s fans were so negative about her security arrangements. One fan praised the singer’s security, insisting the singer’s team prevented the situation from “getting out of hand”.

Of course, Lady Gaga is always on the lookout for ways to promote her high profile image. So, was this incident real or staged? Who knows?
