Kelly Ripa Twerks On Michael Strahan In Miley Cyrus Halloween Costume, Pair Then Make Numerous Costume Changes

Kelly Ripa joined the likes of Paris Hilton and Crystal Harris this morning by paying homage to Miley Cyrus’ VMA’s performance, after she dressed as the pop starlet and then “Twerked” on Michael Strahan’s Robin Thicke on Live With Kelly and Michael.

The talk show hosts then moved on to a cavalcade of other outfits, which inlcluded Kate Middleton, Michonne from The Walking Dead, Rafa Nadael, Serena Williams, Jesse and Walt from Breaking Bad, and many, many more.

However, it was Ripa and Strahan’s recreation of Cyrus and Thicke’s controversial VMA’s performance that caused the studio audience to erupt into rapture.

At first, Strahan towered above Ripa with his six-foot-five frame. However Ripa impressively “twerked” up against her co-star, while wearing Cyrus’ infamous teddy bear basque and nude colored bikini. She also placed a foam finger over her hand for good measure, as the pair sang and danced to Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines.”

Ripa then went even further, when she stripped completely nude for her version of Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” video. The 43-year-old mother of two recreated Cyrus’ tongue leering actions, licking the swinging ball and chain, before declaring, “Listen, if this tongue breaks, we are all out of business.”

However, Kelly and Michael’s Cyrus and Thicke inspired outfits weren’t their only costumes of the day. Far from it. In fact, Ripa and Strahan made an astonishing 50 wardrobe changes throughout their Halloween special.

One of the most outrageous outfits saw the retired American footballer drag-up as Serena Williams. Speaking to the New York Post, Strahan admitted, “This is my favorite [costume] when I look at all of them. Whatever they throw at me, I do it. You have fun with it. You gotta laugh at yourself with this job.”

Kelly soon joined him by changing her gender as well, after she dressed as Rafael Nadal for her next costume. She even adorned huge, thick eyebrows and a wig that mimicked the Spaniard.

The pair also dressed as members of Duck Dynasty, Honey Boo Boo, Gravity’s George Clooney, Tiger Woods and Lindsay Vohn, and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, with Ripa stating that for the latter she was made to wear a fake backside.

Ripa commented, “As soon as I put on the butt pad I had more self-confidence. I feel better about myself.” She admitted that it was “very challenging” for her to truly inhabit the role of Kim Kardashian though.
