Deep-Fried Twinkie Burger Hits The Menu At PYT

We’ve seen burgers made with donuts, pieces of chicken, and Ramen noodles, so it isn’t too surprising to see a deep-fried Twinkie burger.

The new ridiculously unhealthy burger comes from Philadelphia’s PYT. According to Fox News, it contains a beef and pork belly patty, some American cheese and some bacon. The restaurant then stuffs that between two deep-fried Twinkies.

PYT writes on its Facebook page: “We are really sorry about this, but someone had to do it.”

So how many calories will a deep-fried Twinkie burger set you back? PYT manager Malcolm Kenyatta said that he wasn’t too concerned about health. When someone orders a Twinkie burger they know that they aren’t going to get a very nutritious meal.

Kenyata said: “At PYT, we don’t want to have those conversations. This is an escape.”

Sarah Brown, one of PYT’s owners, said that the burger was created out of boredom when a customer brought in a few Twinkies.

Brown said: “We had a friend leave some Twinkies with us on Sunday… We were playing around with them and came up with the idea for the burger.”

The deep-fried Twinkie burger isn’t the only interesting creation to come out of PYT. The restaurant creates a new burger every week. In the past, they’ve had a deep-fried lasagna burger and a bacon taco burger. The strange creations are only available for a limited time so if you want to try the deep-fried Twinkie burger you should head down to PYT right now.

Fox News reports that the burger will cost you $12 and possibly a few years from your life.
