‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Delayed For A Month

Fifty Shades of Grey has been pushed back by a month. The inevitable delay is probably due to all the Christian Grey drama, which has finally resulted as Jamie Dornan’s casting in the sexy adaptation of E.L. James’ soft core novel loved by soccer moms all over the globe.

The delay comes quickly after Sons Of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the project due to scheduling conflicts, which later turned out to be personal issues. A few weeks later and to everyone’s delight Jamie Dornan was cast in the role that sees him opposite Dakota Johnson in the Fifty Shades of Grey film.

Unsurprisingly, The Hollywood Reporter has released the news of a delay, which isn’t a shock due to the shake ups with the cast. Fifty Shades of Grey was supposed to begin shooting in November but is now said to start on December 2. The one month delay may throw a wrench in some plans, but it’s likely that the film will still hit theaters on its supposed date, which still remains to be August 1, 2014. Though we can still see Fifty Shades of Grey being delayed in its release, but we highly doubt Universal would go for a September release date as that’s the start of oscar season.

However, this report seems to be a completely different story that was told by producer Michael De Luca. De Luca told E!that the casting shake up would not affect production, having said:

“No we’re on track. The release date is preserved and we’re gonna kind of keep going.”

What about Dakota Johnson? She’s been pretty quiet after gushing about the awesome chemistry she shared with Charlie Hunnam. According to De Luca, “She’s our rock. She’s just so Anastasia Steele. She’s the best partner a producer could have.”

Do you think Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan will have chemistry?
