Landry Allbright: ‘Con Air’ Star Is All Grown Up, Suddenly Popular Again

Landry Allbright is best known for playing the adorable and innocent daughter opposite Nicolas Cage in the 1997 action hit Con Air, but now she’s all grown up and working on her post child actor career.

Allbright turned into one of the top searches on the internet this week after being featured in a TMZ “where are they now” rundown.

Landry Allbright played a key role in Con Air, even if she didn’t get a lot of airtime. She was the daughter of Cameron Poe (Cage), a man who had just spent eight years in a maximum-security federal prison for killing a drunk man who was assaulting his pregnant wife. After being paroled, Poe is put on a plane home to see his daughter when it’s hijacked by a group of rogue criminals.

That may have been the role that made her career, but Landry has been involved in plenty of other projects since then. She appeared in a series of television shows through the late 1990s and early 2000s, including Judging Amy, Malcolm in the Middle, and Spin City.

Landry Allbright went on a long hiatus from Hollywood, starting in 2005 and ending with her return in the 2011 short film A Foolish Companion. Last year she played a sorority girl in the low-budget thriller Last Hours in Suburbia.

But even if she never works again. Landry Allbright will leave a legacy with Con Air. The movie made more than $220 million worldwide, making it one of the top-grossing films of the year.
