New Anchorman 2 Trailer Debuts: Times Have Changed, The Boys Have Not

Anchorman 2 has debuted a new trailer and it’s all kinds of awesome. The movie, which hits theaters on December 20, 2013, is sure to be one of the funniest and most politically incorrect movies of the year.

Set years after the first movie the men of Anchorman have grown older and times have changed.

The movie features Ron Burgundy with the rest of his Channel 4 News Team, including sportscaster Champ Kind (David Koechner), field reporter Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and meteorologist Brick Tamland (Steve Carell).

The new Anchorman 2 trailer does away with a plotline focus and instead zooms in on the type of gags that made the first movie so enjoyable and an instant classic goofball comedy.

So what can we expect from the new Anchorman movie? Here are a few buzzwords: Hand-fed shark, Terrarium filled with scorpions, bag of bowling balls on a bus.

With the guys failing to grow with the times we can also witness some hilarious run-ins with “modern” technology.

Titled Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues Trailer #2, the clip was uploaded to YouTube on October 22, 2013 and has racked up 73,623 views.

So what do fans think of the new Anchorman 2 trailer? They have given the new trailer 947 thumbs up votes and just 28 thumbs down votes.

Some viewers were not amused. Here’s one comment that sums up what some people love and some people hate about the first movie:

“Grown men screaming jokes stopped being funny for me when I was about 16. As much as it pains me to say it…this looks pandering, generic, blown out and dim-witted. This is a simple man’s film.”

Sure it might be a “simple man’s film” but some of us just want to sit back and enjoy people acting like stupid morons.

Will you be heading out to see Anchorman 2 when it debuts on December 20?
