Robin Roberts Says Shania Twain Duet Was ‘Surreal’
Robin Roberts performed with Shania Twain during a recent interview. The Good Morning America host recently revealed her duet performance which occurred on October 19. Roberts says the experience was “surreal.”
Roberts was in Las Vegas to interview Twain for the upcoming ABC CMA TV special In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts. After sitting down with Shania the famed singer asked if she would like to join her in a song.
The two women sang “Today Is Your Day” which was the first track Twain recorded following her divorce.
At a near loss for words Roberts proclaimed “It was surreal… It was great. She is special.”
After performing Shania Twian praised Robin Roberts on Twitter, writing:
“Invited @RobinRoberts on stage. She’s such a remarkable example of courage and determination! I had the best time with you.”
Robin later tweeted:
“Big check on the bucket list…getting on stage and performing in Las Vegas.”
Later Robin added:
“Something I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”
Robin Roberts is a host on Good Morning America and she also hosts In the Spotlight every single year, a show that helps promote the CMA Awards.
While she was asked to join Shania Twain on stage, she is no stranger to interviewing some of country musics biggest stars.
