Walter Palmer’s Address Leaked By Mia Farrow, Dentist Who Killed Cecil The Lion Hides

Walter Palmer has become infamous as the dentist who killed Cecil the lion, and some claim the big game hunter needs to face judgment in Zimbabwe. When actress Mia Farrow tweeted Palmer’s address on Twitter, many were outraged, since it was assumed an animal rights activist might try and take retribution against the man.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, the Zimbabwe hunting guide, Theo Bronkhorst, who led Walter Palmer to Cecil the lion, has been charged with a crime. The man has plead not guilty to the charge of failing to prevent an illegal hunt, which carries a potential sentence of a decade in prison and a $30,000 fine. He has also been has been suspended from the Zimbabwe Professional Hunters and Guides Association.

The charity, Lion Aid, claims it would be very difficult to prosecute Walter Palmer since the hunting guide, who is a professional hunter, was the person telling his client what he could and could not do.

“A client usually has no idea about the laws and regulations of the country he is hunting in – he just buys a safari and then places himself in the hands of his professional hunter guide. Finding the client could be interesting to let him tell his side of the story, but in terms of legal prosecution this person is hardly important.”

Lion Aid also claims it “is not illegal to kill radiocollared lions” and it “is completely legal to bait lions in Zimbabwe.” Allegedly, Walter Palmer was “furious” when he discovered that Bronkhort had given the okay to shoot with bow and arrow, and then the lion was discovered to be wearing a radio collar. It is also claimed that shooting a lion near the border of a national park is not unusual.

“Cecil was not the first male lion enticed out of the park to be shot by trophy hunters. In fact, the research programme indicates that over the years, 74 percent of the male lions on the border of the National Park have been shot by hunters.”

In response to all the outrage, Walter Palmer closed his dental practice and protesters have set up outside. According to ABC, he also released a statement, which explained his side of the story.

“In early July, I was in Zimbabwe on a bow hunting trip for big game. I hired several professional guides and they secured all proper permits. To my knowledge, everything about this trip was legal and properly handled and conducted.

I had no idea that the lion I took was a known, local favorite, was collared and part of a study until the end of the hunt. I relied on the expertise of my local professional guides to ensure a legal hunt. I have not been contacted by authorities in Zimbabwe or in the U.S. about this situation, but will assist them in any inquiries they may have. Again, I deeply regret that my pursuit of an activity I love and practice responsibly and legally resulted in the taking of this lion.”

Regardless of this explanation, many people on social media were outraged at the big game hunter. Actress Mia Farrow responded by releasing Walter Palmer’s address to the public, which caused just as much outrage, since many wrongly assumed it was the dentist’s home address, not his office.

“Are you trying to send a mob?” one outraged Twitter user asked, according to Us Magazine.

Palmer’s dental office has people swarming it, and many photos have made their way online.

According to CBS, the Eden Prairie Police Department said they are stepping up surveillance at Walter Palmer’s home address, but they will not be giving him personal protection as he hides from protesters.

“Because of the increased traffic in the neighborhood of Walter Palmer’s residence, the Eden Prairie Police Department is monitoring the neighborhood to ensure the safety and security of the residents and their property,” the department said.

Do you think Walter Palmer should be criminally prosecuted in Zimbabwe for killing Cecil the lion?
