Chevy Super Bowl Ad Tricks People Into Thinking Their TVs Have Gone Out [Video]

The first truly memorable commercial of the Super Bowl evening is this 2015 Chevy Super Bowl Commercial: 4G LTE Wi-Fi – 2015 Colorado | Chevrolet, one by Chevrolet that was uploaded a mere 20 minutes ago and is already going viral with YouTube’s standard 301+ views that they give videos going viral. The reason the Chevy ad is so smart is because it begins with a standard type of Super Bowl fare, a long shot of an arena whereby viewers believe they are watching the real game.

Suddenly, the picture messes up, fades, and goes to black. That’s when viewers threw up their hands and cursed their cable provider internally, or this snow, or whatever it was that was messing up the reception during one of the most important sporting days of the year. But that tricky Chevy placed their true intentions on the screen, asking an important question.

“What would you do if your TV went out?”

Voila. That’s when Chevy let viewers know that if their TVs had actually gone out right before the Super Bowl, their all-new Chevy Colorado offers built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi, so viewers could watch the game in their cars if necessary. Just sayin’, they say. It’s a brilliant commercial that has folks reacting on YouTube, Twitter and other social media sites. Viewer Chris Sewell had fascinating comments about the Chevy ad on YouTube.

“Chevy trolled people hard just now. Imagine all the sports bars and this happening on every TV…”

Whether that Chevy Super Bowl ad ends up as one of the most popular Super Bowl 2015 ads per YouTube or as viral as the Super Bowl ad showing God’s cell phone battery dying by Mophie — as reported by the Inquisitr— remains to be seen.

Chevy’s Super Bowl Ad Just Made Everyone Think Their TVs Died, reported Business Insider, calling the unique ad by Chevy both attention-grabbing and one that served its educational intention to school viewers about the in-built 4G LTE WiFi inside the new Chevy Colorado, and just how much it could come in handy. It makes sense; after all, telling people about the benefits of having portable Wi-Fi is one thing, but showing them how handy that feature could be during important moments is more effective.

Kelly Weisenberg is another YouTube viewer that gave kudos to the viral and magnificent Chevy commercial.

“One of the first commercials out of the gate… awesome. Nice work #chevy
