Joshua Rainey ‘Save The Date’ Pre-Wedding Engagement Photo For Couple Goes Viral: ‘The Hunt Is Over’

Now this is how you hire a photographer to create a memorable ‘Save the Date’ pre-wedding photo that goes viral online. An Oregon couple hired Joshua Rainey to create their ‘save the date’ photo, according to KPTV, but they probably didn’t expect the photo to go viral. The Oregon photographer, whose work can be seen on Joshua Rainey Photography, gushes on his website about how the ‘save the date’ photo went viral.

“A couple of weeks ago I had the incredible opportunity to photograph Stevie and Brady’s engagement photos on a family property along the Siletz River. They had a great idea for a photo so we set it up and got the shot we were all thinking. Long story short, the image was shared on the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation page and gained a ton of exposure! 100,000 likes and 9,000 shares in the first 24 hours! Wow! So, here is the image, in case you haven’t seen it yet. Pin it, share it, tweet it, FB it, IG it; just please make sure there is a proper photographer credit with a link to my website, FB page (www.facebook.com/joshuaraineyphotography), or IG account (@joshuaraineyphotography). Cheers ya’ll!”

According to BuzzFeed, the local couple that had the idea for their now-viral ‘save the date’ photo are Stevie Beard and Brady Hogevoll, and it’s the unique concept of the woman holding a shotgun and catching her man that’s showcasing their creativity. Meanwhile, Joshua spilled more details about how the viral engagement came about, and the difficulty of creating such a dangerous yet amazing shot.

“I shot the photo on a property owned by Brady’s parents. They have over 150 acres along the Siletz River [in Oregon]. The whole family is very into elk hunting and even hosts Make-A-Wish elk hunts on occasion.”

“Stevie and Brady came up with the idea and surprised me with it during engagement photos. We worked together to figure out how the image should look and set it up quickly before sunset.”

“It was rather tough to get the shot though, since Brady could only be upside down for a few minutes. Brady tied his own knots and got himself hooked up to the tractor and then his dad lifted him up slowly.”

The concept of a woman hunting her man is striking a major cord with online readers, and causing publications from Cosmopolitan to Fox to ask permission from Joshua Rainey to use the photograph in their reporting. Rainey has responded to reporters with a resounding yes — and all the attention being brought to his unique photography will no doubt bring him plenty of new clientele in 2015 and beyond. Perhaps Jessa Duggar should’ve contacted Joshua Rainey Photography for her ‘save the date’ photos, based on the online response she received, as reported by the Inquisitr.
