Aaron Hernandez Is Not Allowed To Watch The Super Bowl In Jail

Aaron Hernandez may have been preparing for the biggest game of his life this weekend, but instead he will be behind bars, not even allowed to watch.

According to Michele Mcphee, correspondent for ABC News, the Bristol County Sheriff has confirmed that Hernandez will not be permitted to watch his former team, the New England Patriots, take on the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday. Although there have been some reports to the contrary — many of which suggest that Aaron will be permitted to watch the game if the other inmates want to — Aaron will be spending Super Bowl Sunday like any other day. Hernandez is not allowed to watch television or do much of anything as he is in solitary confinement.

Most people agree that Aaron should not have the “luxury” of watching the game. He has been in jail since June of 2013 for the murder of Odin Lloyd. He is also a suspect in a 2012 double murder that occurred outside of a Boston nightclub.

Aaron Hernandez’s murder trial began with opening statements on Thursday. Today was a half day, and the trial is expected to resume on Monday. Before leaving the courtroom today, Judge E. Susan Garsh spoke to the jurors about Sunday’s football game. She gave them all permission to watch the game if they wanted, but cautioned them against speaking about Mr. Hernandez in any way. According to ABC News, Garsh told the 18 jurors to be “vigilant” during the game.

“I am not going to forbid you from watching this Super Bowl on Sunday, if that’s something that’s really important to you. But I am going to ask you to be especially vigilant. If you’re watching the game with friends or family or any third party, just have your antenna — just be really, really vigilant. You have to avoid anything that has anything to do with this case or Mr. Hernandez. If you hear that word, you got to walk out of the room, distance yourself, immediately stop people, and if his name or this case is mentioned on the television screen or computer, just walk away,” said Garsh.

The Aaron Hernandez murder trial is expected to go on for eight to 10 weeks. And that is just fine for Hernandez. Rumor has it the former NFL-er is loving prison life. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Hernandez allegedly wrote a letter that expressed just how much he was loving life on the inside. Are you surprised?
