Mother Injecting Her Child With Feces? Reason Behind Candy Fluty’s Madness Revealed

When West Virginia mom, Candy Fluty, was arrested January 17 for injecting a “substance” into her son Elijah’s IV drip while he was convalescing in the hospital, it wasn’t a question of if Candy Fluty had injected anything into her son, but what she had injected.

Following Candy Fluty’s arrest, a relative of hers said that the substance Fluty had injected into her son was saline, to help “break up” one of her nine-year-old son’s blood clots.

And with the benefit of hind-sight, it would’ve been nice if hospital security cameras had shown that it was indeed saline that Fluty had put into her boy. Instead, however, security cameras revealed the substance to be something far more vile and disturbing, as the mom actually put the boy’s own feces into his IV drip bag to further worsen his condition, reports the Daily Mail.

The security footage shows Fluty in the act of taking the feces from the boy’s colostomy bag and using a syringe to inject it into her son’s IV drip bag.

Now Candy Fluty may be headed for a long stay in prison after being indicted on four felony counts for knowingly inflicting physical harm on her son by injecting feces into his IV bag.

Fluty’s son was reportedly suffering from symptoms caused by Hirschsprung disease, which causes problems with muscle movement in the bowels and blockages in the large intestine, according to Rare. Elijah was recovering at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital after having spots on his head cultured, nine teeth extracted, blood clot issues, and a tube put into his body, when Candy allegedly injected the feces into his IV bag.

Elijah’s fever jacked up following Candy’s injecting the feces, and the seemingly warped mother even posted a picture of the post-feces-injected Elijah on her Facebook page to show her friends that her son’s condition had worsened.

Faced with seemingly undeniable and damning evidence, the obvious question is why would, and how could, Candy Fluty do this to her son?

While Fluty’s lawyer claims the whole thing is just a “big misunderstanding,” there’s believed to be a more credible reason.

According to the Daily Mail, it is believed that Candy Fluty has a sickness of her own known as Münchausen syndrome by proxy (MSbP). The frightening condition is a recognized mental illness and defined as “a form of child abuse in which a parent induces real or apparent symptoms of a disease in a child… (The) psychological disorder is marked by attention-seeking behavior by a caregiver through those who are in their care.”

Another indicator of Candy Fluty’s mental illness are her Facebook posts which showcased Elijah’s condition.

Candy Fluty has reportedly posted $50,000 bond and is forbidden contact with Elijah, who is in the care of child protective services.
