Super Bowl Domestic Violence Commercial: Battered Woman Pretends To Order Pizza But Calls 911 Instead [Video]

There’s a haunting new YouTube video of a Super Bowl commercial titled “NO MORE’s Official Super Bowl Ad: 60 Second.” The video, which was published on January 26, has already gone viral and received more than 7,400 views in 11 hours, so by the time it plays during the Super Bowl, it should receive plenty of well-deserved attention.

The official Super Bowl NO MORE ad is being called the first-ever Super Bowl commercial that addresses domestic violence and rape head on, with no parties being shown in the video ad — only the aftermath of what appears to be a beautiful home that has experienced trauma as witnessed by the broken items on the ground in the house.

NO MORE reports that a 30-second version their Super Bowl ad will air live — not the 60-second version that is already gaining plenty of attention on YouTube — during the first quarter of the NFL Super Bowl XLIX on February 1. Even the reduced length should still gain the stunning and stark commercial enough attention to get the point across when a troubled-yet-calm sounding woman calls 911 and pretends she’s ordering a pizza. Thankfully in the commercial, the adept 911 operator realizes that it’s not a prank or some woman calling the wrong number — 911 instead of Domino’s or Donatos — but a woman reaching out for help when her batterer is still present.

911 Operator: 911 operator. Where is the emergency?

Woman: I’d like to order a pizza for delivery. Yeah, a large with half-pepperoni, half-mushrooom. Do you know how long it’ll be?

911 Operator: Is everything okay over there? Do you have an emergency?

Woman: Yes.

911 Operator: Is there someone in the room with you? Just say yes or no…

Woman: Yes.

911 Operator: It looks like I have an officer about a mile from your location. Are there any weapons in your house?

Woman: No.

911 Operator: Okay, can you stay on the phone with me?

Woman: No. See you soon. Thank you.

As reported by the Inquisitr, 2015 Super Bowl ads like Doritos’ “Crash the Super Bowl” ad campaigns are also gaining buzz, especially since the finalists will soon discover if it’s their commercial that has won $1 million. Despite that rich payday, none of the Super Bowl ads may appear as impactful as the one from NO MORE, especially in light of the recent NFL controversies involving domestic violence.
