Ronan Farrow, the son of Woody Allen and Mia Farrow, is a Rhodes Scholar. Farrow was one of 32 American students to earn a 2012 Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University.

ABC reports that Woody Allen and Mia Farrow’s son, Ronan, had his Bachelor’s Degree by the time he was 15. He was accepted into Yale Law School at the age of 17, graduated in 2009, and now works for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on global youth issues.

Now at the age of 23, Ronan Farrow will head to Oxford University to study international development.

Farrow said:

“There can be more research and writing on issues I’m really excited to think deeply about.”

According to ABC, more than 830 students from close to 300 colleges applied for the Rhodes Scholarship. Ronan Farrow and his 31 fellow Rhodes Scholars will attend Oxford University for two or three years free of charge. The scholarships are valued at about $50,000 per year.

Ronan tweeted:

“Thanks all; Rhodes is a great honor & opportunity… But for now very focused on fostering youth jobs and voices w/ #SecClinton & @StateDept.”

The Rhodes Scholarship program was started in 1902. The 32 American scholars will join international students from around the globe at Oxford. Approximately 80 students are selected for the scholarship every year.

The LA Times notes that Bill Clinton, George Stephanopoulos, Terrence Malick, Naomi Wolf, and Kris Kristofferson are also Rhode Scholars.
