Rumor Claims Will Smith Dead In Car Accident

Going two for two on the fake celebrity death circuit this weekend comes a new name with an old story: Will Smith dead in a car accident.

Perhaps showing that fake celebrity deaths seriously need some more compelling story lines, the alleged report claims that Will Smith “was driving his Porsche in the Hollywood Hills earlier today when he suddenly lost control and flipped his car.”

The report goes on to say “Paramedics arrived on the scene within minutes but were unable to revive Mr. Smith.”

0/10 for originality on this one. For the record though, Will Smith is not dead, Will Smith has not died in a car accident, and there’s nothing more to be said on the matter.

Will Smith has fired the headteacher of his Scientology-inspired school

Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith have axed Jacqueline Olivier from her $200,000-a-year position at The New Village Leadership Academy after reportedly clashing over the school’s curriculum, which is based on the teachings of the bizarre sci-fi cult’s founder Ron L. Hubbard.

A source told website RadarOnline: “Jada phoned Jaqueline and told her that they had ‘decided to go in another direction’ with the school. As head of the campus her position was becoming untenable as she did not agree with Study Tech and felt uncomfortable with it.”

It is understood Jacqueline – who “thrashed-out” a compensation package with the couple – has signed a confidentiality agreement about her time at the school.

The couple – who have both denied they are followers of the controversial faith – have now hired Piano Foster as they feel she is more suited to the role.

The source added: “They have appointed somebody else who is more ‘in-line’ with their thinking as to how the school should be run.”

Foster said of her new job: “I officially took over on July 1, 2009, and I’m looking forward to the challenge. I’ve been working in education for the past 20 years at various public and charter schools so I feel I’m ready for the job.”

The school opened last September but was met by several demonstrators who protested outside the main gates it was a front for Scientology teachings.

However, the couple – whose children attend the school – have always insisted the facility had no religious affiliation.

They claim the curriculum uses different educational theories, one of which is “Study Technology” – a learning method developed Hubbard.

Well, I think you know who I think this blind bit is about, but I would love to hear some other guesses. . . Read on about a demanding set of offspring with high-profile parents, and how they manage to get their own way a good deal of the time:

Which celebrity couple has relenquished control of the family to their offspring? This goes beyond spoiling. They let the child/children make all their own decisions about education, food, clothing, travel, and activities. Before you know it, the kid/kids will be picking the parents’ projects and handling the money. The parents seem to think that the decision-making will result in more self-assured adult/s. However, right now it’s just the tail wagging the dog. Other family members are concerned that some of these decisions may be endangering the health and safety of all involved.

My back-up guesses are the Smiths (as in Will Smith and Jada) or Tom Cruise and the gang. Do you think it could it be the Jolie-Pitt clan, or are you betting on someone else? Do tell!

Jaden Smith to Star in Karate Kid Remake

Wax on, wax off. Gen Xers be appalled Hollywood is remaking the Karate Kid and Jaden Smith, son of Will Smith, is set to star in it.

Not satisfied with vandalising shows like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, and Fraggle Rock. Hollywood studios seem intent on destroying another cheesy classic.

The 80’s appear to be the new gold mine for lazy studio execs. There is also talk that Zac Effron has signed up to do Footloose and they are remaking Robocop and Red Dawn, oh and Top Gun.

Back to the Karate Kid. Mr Miyagi is rumoured to be played by Martin Lawrence, so I guess he won’t be called Mr Miyagi. The plot stays the same though, bullied kid learns to defend himself via an eccentric mentor. Still, I won’t be considering it a proper remake unless the crane scene is in there.

I guess it is no surprise that Will Smith will be producing the film.

Will Smith has faced rumors that he’s on the gay side for a while, but this tidbit from Ian Halperin is extra interesting when we consider the company Will’s been keeping.

I wonder if Tom Cruise will freak when he reads the newest rumor about Will’s supposed interest in the services of some young guy(s)? Just curious:

“I had to reassure him over and over that I could guarantee discretion,” [the Madame] said. “Once I convinced him I could, he placed his order. It was for a man. I had 14 women working for me and two guys. You’d be surprised at how many Hollywood stars requested the services of the guys.”

I guess discretion has finally gone out the window, then. Now if only this Madame could point us towards the other Hollywood dudes with a secret or two! It sounds like she’s a font of knowledge.
