Vlingo’s first version — debuted in June — let you speak out text messages, e-mails, and even Web navigation commands. It also allowed voice commands for common phone features such as number dialing or looking up contacts.

In addition to providing the option of spoken updates to your Facebook and Twitter status, Vlingo 2.0 also boasts full spoken keyboard support, the option to have a message you spoke read back to you aloud, and the ability to launch a host of previously unsupported programs:

Vlingo 2.0 is available free here for BlackBerry Pearl, Curve, and 8800 series phone users in the U.S. and Canada. U.K.-based users can get a beta version here. (How about a non-BlackBerry version now, Vlingo? I want to play!)

Vlingo, based in Cambridge, Mass., has been around for just over two years. The company secured $20 million from Yahoo earlier this year.
