Soccer star David Beckham- who was the subject of a recent death hoax on the microblogging site Twitter- is, contrary to unfounded web rumors, very much alive.

In fact, the not-dead pro footballer is looking into buying recently deceased Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry for his wife Victoria. Beckham- who rumors had perishing in a fiery car crash on Interstate 80 in the couple’s adopted home state of California- is said to be planning to bid up to about $4.5 million on the jewels when they go up for auction at Christie’s in December. The auction planned for later this year will raise some funds for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

The baubles are said to be a gift to wife Victoria after the birth of the couple’s fourth child and first girl, who arrived in July and was named Harper Seven. Surprisingly, Beckham said to US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres that the couple may not have wrapped up the whole new baby thing, and may even try for a fifth child. The expat told DeGeneres that he and his missus are fond of adding to their family, and that the two would be pleased if another baby came along:

“If we were lucky enough to have another one, it would be great. We always spoke about having a big family. We love children. We’re very blessed to have four healthy children so if one comes along that would be amazing.”

In addition to the nearly three-month-old Harper Seven, the Beckhams are parents to Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 9 and Cruz, 6.

Victoria Beckham is reportedly at her “breaking point” after a back injury has interfered with her ability to care for baby Harper Seven and required her to appear in public wearing flats like a poor person, or something.

One place Mrs. David Beckham has not been active recently is the microblogging site Twitter, where her last entry was way back on August 19th. She most recently tweeted thanking fans and followers for all the “kind messages,” adding that she was “feeling much better” and that she’s “enjoying every precious minute with baby Harper.”

Beckham was spotted August 24th in a dress and ballet flats, and a source says the star is recovering from an unspecified back injury- necessitating she abandon her couture footwear. An unnamed source allegedly close to the pop star turned fashion maven dished a bit on why Beckham was wearing flats, and whether she even be able to attend Fashion Week in New York next month. The source confided:

“She’ll have to see how she feels… Heels will put added pressure on the damaged area but it’s healing well, so it may not be an issue in another couple weeks.”

While the source says that heels could be risky for Posh, he or she also disclosed that Beckham’s worries were a bit bigger than footwear right now as the injury has made caring for Harper a bit physically trying:

“Victoria’s a wonderful mum, but she’s stressing out right now… She’s trying to be as hands-on as possible, but the lack of sleep, the constant sleep and her bad back are really putting her at a low ebb.”

The star’s friend added that Victoria “surely can’t cope with much more.”

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and husband and soccer star David Beckham became parents to a daughter last month, when baby Harper Seven was born.

The couple, who have three sons- Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz- are demonstrably thrilled with the addition of a baby girl to their clan. In fact, Victoria Beckham- much like the unfamous people you may know on Facebook or Twitter, has taken to posting only pics of the baby since Harper’s mid-July birth. (Celebrities- they’re just like the rest of us!)

On Twitter, over the past month, Beckham has said:

The Beckhams’ new addition arrived on July 10th. Prior to the birth of her fourth child, Victoria worked on varied fashion projects and even did a guest judge stint on American Idol.

Harper’s mom isn’t the only Beckham to become besotted with the child. Her dad has added to his massive collection of tattoos with a freshly-inked tribute to his new daughter as well. At a recent LA Galaxy game in Los Angeles, Beckham removed his shirt, inadvertently revealing a new tattoo of Harper’s name near his left collarbone.

Last week David Beckham and wife Victoria Beckham named their newborn daughter Harper Seven Beckham and revealed her to the world and now the little girls name has caused a surge in sales of the novel To Kill A Mocking Bird.

The Beckhams announced that Harper was named after the books author Harper Lee, a favorite of Victoria Beckham and then Amazon saw a 123% jump in the number of books sold.

The video message said:

“A lot of thought goes into our children’s names and Harper was a name that we’ve loved for a long time for a couple of reasons,” while adding, “One reason is Harper’s an old English name which we loved and one of the other reasons was Victoria’s favorite book is To Kill A Mockingbird and the author was Harper Lee. It’s a very strong, passionate book. That’s where Harper came from.”

You may recall that back in 2005 Beckham told The Guardian:

“I haven’t read a book in my life…I don’t have the time. I prefer listening to music, although I do love fashion magazines.”

Someone should inform her that To Kill A Mocking Bird is a book.

David Beckham’s spokesman has announced that wife Victoria Beckham has given birth to a healthy baby girl, the fourth child for the power couple. The baby was born on Sunday morning at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles and came in at a healthy weight of 7lbs, 10oz.

According to rep Simon Oliveira, the couple are ”delighted to announce the birth of their daughter.”

David and Victoria wed in 1999 and have three children; Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 5.

The news was posted on Sunday via Twitter and the families other children proclaimed that they “are excited to welcome their baby sister to the family.”

It turns out rumors circulating yesterday that Victoria Beckham and footballer husband David were set to welcome their fourth child on the 4th of July did not pan out.

Fans of the couple on Twitter rapidly spread the rumor, even purporting to know the baby’s name and birth weight. The speculated 4th of July due date would also happen to fall on the couple’s twelfth wedding anniversary, but the couple’s flak told press that the baby won’t arrive until later this month:

The spokesman tells Britain’s Daily Mail, “The rumours are rubbish, Victoria has not had the baby but she will be giving birth soon.”

David’s publicist, Simon Oliveira, also addressed the rumours on Monday, writing in a post on Twitter, “Contrary to certain reports, David and Victoria Beckham’s baby is not due today and that was never the case.”

The child will be the Beckhams’ first daughter, and the couple has three sons: Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn.

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is reportedly scheduled to have her fourth baby with husband David Beckham today via Cesarean section.

The baby, a girl, will be born at a Los Angeles hospital, MTV UK reports. The child will be the Beckhams’ first daughter. David Beckham commented on the differences in preparing for their daughter:

“We’re really excited. You know, it’s a whole new different thing for us. To have so much pink in the house, lilac in the house, and dresses… All the clothes [are] ready, the room’s ready, so we’re all ready for it and all excited.”

Sources also say that Victoria Beckham plans to breastfeed her daughter, her first foray into the practice. Although she formula fed her boys, Beckham says having a girl has caused her to rethink the decision:

“I’m doing everything differently this time. I want it all to be natural and perfect for my little girl.”

Style maven Victoria Beckham, sometimes known as Posh Spice and wife to avid Beckham is taking centre stage in an Armani lingerie campaign. Proving anything her husband David Beckhma can do, she can do better.

The style-conscious former Spice Girl has often said she looks “really awful” naked, but she looks anything but awful in her underwear shoot for Armani’s spring summer collection.

Photoshopped? You be the judge.

Victoria Beckham obviously got over her squeamishness about being naked for a price tag of £12million or about $17.6 mullion USD.

And as we mentioned this campaign follows i the footsteps of David Beckham Armani Campaign which showed off his package (meat and two veg) to its best advantage.

Armani is clearly hoping that the Beckham success continues for the brand with these pictures of Victoria, shot in location in LA by fashion photographers Maert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

So what do we think? Hot or airbrushed to the point of ridiculous? My view is that girlfriend needs to learn that carbs are not the enemy.

Beckham’s regular tattoo artist Louis Malloy (remember the incredibly boring guy from London Ink?) pulled off the tattoo with a Hebrew translation “My son, do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart.” This accompanies another one reading “I am my beloved and my beloved is mine.”

Word has it that the Beckhams have had their fair share of dramz this year: supposedly the couple drummed up tension when they chose not to fly home for David’s dad’s 60th birthday– right after his heart attack. I guess they’re back at it since David added the new ink!

A source told the Daily Mail that “Victoria doesn’t think David should have any more tattoos and tried to stop him having another. She likes them but wants a bit of his skin to be left, but David went ahead with it anyway.”

That special gesture will see Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes merge their family with Victoria and David Beckham’s in a special ceremony. Tom will hold the bizarre service – during which the families will solemnly vow to be brothers and sisters and exchange heartfelt speeches.

The gesture serves as a Thanksgiving present from Tom to the Beckhams. Surely they could have said how about a gift voucher?

I’m one of few Kelly Osbourne fans, I think, but perhaps I can convert some people who appreciate her sense of humor and ability to tell it like it is. Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham were at the same Marc Jacobs show and were really bad at pretending to like each other– and Kelly witnessed the whole thing:
