The sad death of Steve Jobs, Apple’s visionary co-founder, has triggered a wave of tributes from those who knew him in the tech world.

Celebrities and those in the world of entertainment have also been busy tweeting and Facebooking their condolences in the last 24 hours, and CNN rounded up some of their words (and for good measure, I added some more recent tributes in):

TV host and comedienne Ellen DeGeneres: I just finished my show and I heard the news about Steve Jobs. He was an amazing man with an incredible vision. He changed the world.

Tyra Banks returns to the small screen today and she’s leading with an interesting topic: embracing your real hair.

On Today’s season premier of “The Tyra Show,” Tyra takes to the stage with her real hair. If you’re scratching your head thinking “it wasn’t her real hair before” apparently Tyra has previously worn wigs or hair extensions.

On the show, Tyra declares today “National Real Hair Day” and ditches her lacefront wig and shows fans her real shoulder-length hair for the first time, allowing them to touch it as well (seriously.) As a follow on, a hairdresser styles Banks’ hair on-camera as she interviews women who have insecurities about their natural hair.

You can now find the Tyra Banks show the on CW network airing weekday afternoons at 4 p.m. EDT. “America’s Next Top Model,” begins its 13th season on Wednesday. The Tyra Banks real hair video as follows:

Julia Anderson has been named winner of ABC’s True Beauty.

Julia Anderson is a former pageant winner who earned the titles of Miss Teen Texas in 2002 and Miss Grapevine in 2008. From Texas, Julia is part American Indian and according to her profile “loves to take care of herself inside and out.”

The series True Beauty let contestants believe that they were only being tested on outer beauty, however the ultimate judging of the contestants was on their inner beauty.

The True Beauty Winner was a short affair, the series on its first run started in January. Tyra Banks is listed as the executive producer.

Brittany “McKey” Sullivan has won season 11 of America’s Next Top Model.

Sullivan, 19, from Lake Forest, Illinois wins management and representation by Elite Model Management, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics, and the cover and six-page fashion spread in Seventeen magazine.

Runner up at the America’s Next Top Model finale was Samantha Potter, with Analeigh Tipton coming in third.

Tyra Banks surprises America’s Next Top Model contestant Isis King on her show Tuesday with a free sex change operation.

Isis King is the first transgender contestant to have appeared on America’s Next Top Model.

US Weekly quotes King as saying “This is not happening! [I feel] like I’m about to wake up.”

King hasn’t gone in for the chop yet because she couldn’t afford the $20,000 to $35,000 price tag. Dr. Marci Bowers, “a top sex change surgeon who has gone through a sex change herself” agreed to do Isis’ chop and reconstruct for free.

… Or at least reserves the same degree of disdain that she reserves for the rest of her enemies! According to the New York Post’s most recent scoop, Janice saw a pic of Tyra Banks on her way to speak with young girls about self-esteem and other issues– with her book No Lifeguard on Duty about incest, drugs, and other wholesome things. I’m not familiar with the book myself, but I’m assuming it gives advice, too?

Dickinson fumed to the press that “[S]he’s using my book. I mean, the thing looks so worn it’s like she’s been reading it on the toilet. It’s pathetic. Where’s her originality? Does she have no shame?”

And then Janice invited Tyra to throw down on her soon-to-be-negotiated NBC talk show. I’m hoping that Ty takes her up on it: b*tch could take her.
