Sarah Palin has been the subject of several spoofs throughout her political career. Tina Fey’s impression of John McCain’s 2008 running mate is easily the most famous, but Julianne Moore could give the SNL alum a run for her money with her performance in Game Change, a new HBO film about the 2008 presidential race.

The Huffington Post reports that the movie is based on the book “Game Change,” by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann. Ed Harris will play John McCain, Woody Harrelson plays adviser Steve Schmidt, and Julianne Moore will step into the boots of Sarah Palin.

Moore didn’t give her opinion on Sarah Palin, but she did say that filming the movie gave her a different perspective of politics in general. Moore told ABC:

“So much is about how do you get on the air, how do you get the most media attention, how do you make the most noise. When, in fact, what we’re all looking for is leadership. We don’t want noise. We want people who are going to take care of us.”

There has been plenty of talk about the highest paid actor on television (formerly Charlie Sheen and currently Ashton Kutcher) but what about the highest paid actress? Forbes has just released its list of “Hollywood’s Highest-Paid TV Actresses” and Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and 30 Rock star Tina Fey are on the top of the list.

Tina Fey and Eva Longoria both pulled in $13 million between May 2010 and May 2011. In comparison, it would take Charlie Sheen about 10 episodes to make that much. His successor, Mr. Kutcher, is currently making about $700,000 per episode.

So Fey and Longoria may be underpaid compared to their male counterparts, but both actresses are still doing pretty well for themselves.

Fey is both the producer, head writer, and lead actor of 30 Rock. The NBC show hasn’t been bringing in massive ratings, but Fey’s loyal following has helped DVDs fly off the shelves. Forbes reports that 30 Rock is also now in syndication on both Fox and Comedy Central. Fey also just sold the millionth copy of her book Bossy Pants. 

Longoria and the Desperate Housewives cast (all four housewives are on Forbes’ list) have made millions from the show, but Longoria also pulls in a pretty penny from lucrative endorsement deals with L’Oreal and LG.

Tina Fey took on hosting duties this wekend on Saturday Night Live and in celebration of mother’s day she invited fellow pregant SNL alum Maya Rudolph onto the show.

Fey, showing off her pregnant stomach, “baby bumped” the pregnant stomach of Rudolph and then the funny ladies joined together in a song devoted to their yet unborn children.

The song starts with a sweet.  ”I cannot wait to know you,” then turns into a romp infested bit: “You are the proof that we’ve been doin’ it….makin’ super sexy heat…your mom and daddy been doin’ it!”

Liz Lemon, the character famously portrayed by Tina Fey on her hit sitcom 30 Rock will not become a mom on the show next season, despite the fact that Fey is with child in real life (pregnancy’s are hidden all the time on TV).

According to an NBC insider, the show has already wrapped for next season, which means as Fey gets bigger, camera’s won’t be rolling. Also, the show is not expected to be postponed for shooting what is said to be the last season in 2012.

This will be the second child for Fey who had daughter Alice 5 years ago.

Now we just have to wonder what surprises will be in store for us as the show wraps up it’s NBC run.

30 Rock may be coming to an end at the end of the 2012 season but Tina Fey is already setting out on a new journey. On Wednesday during a taping of Oprah the former SNL star revealed that she’s expecting her second child.

Fey isn’t the only 30 Rock star expecting, co-star Jane Krakowski is already showing a baby bump.

The news of her pregnancy comes from an April 12 appearance she’ll be making on Oprah to discuss her new book Bossypant and to talk about the upcoming Saturday Night Live reunion.

Fey and Husband Jeff Richmond already have one child together, 5-year-old-daughter Alice.

No word on a due date or the sex of her new baby at this time.

The curtain will come down on NBC’s massive hit 30 Rock after next season.

The show, a consecutive three-time Emmy winner for Best Comedy Series will end after 6 seasons on the air. The news was revealed on Wednesday by show co-star Alec Baldwin.

“Next year is our last year of the show,” Baldwin revealed to New York Magazine. Baldwin went on to add, “Our contracts are expired [in 2012], and Tina [Fey] is gonna have a big career directing films and writing. She’s going to be the next Elaine May. She’ll be great.”

Are you a fan of the show? I for one will be disappointed to watch the series exit the airwaves, however many of the characters roles have appeared to be more “played out” than when the show was fresh. If nothing else I’m hoping for another Tina Fey created series.

It’s like Alec Baldwin’s new hobby to make 30 Rock fans all sad and stuff.

First Baldwin said he’d be off the show within two seasons, which is pretty much like Valerie Harper leaving Valerie’s Family. Now Baldwin is hinting 30 Rock is on its way out the door with our without Baldwin. The man who plays Jack Donaghy didn’t actually hint- he came out and said the show’s days are numbered:

“I will tell you one thing,” he said. “And that is our show next year is our last year of the show.”

Baldwin dragged Tina Fey into it, too, saying:

“Our contracts are expired [in 2012], and Tina is gonna have a big career directing films and writing. She’s going to be the next Elaine May. She’ll be great.”

He made the comments last night at a fundraiser for the National Dance Institute. Representatives for the show as well as Fey’s flak didn’t respond to requests for comment.

Tina Fey trotted out her spot on Sarah Palin impression on last night’s SNL with a skit skewering Palin’s TV ambitions.

In addition to Palin’s new career directions (and the terrifying prospect of a presidential run), Fey takes aim at Palin’s hunting habits, her husband Todd in general and tea partiers’ rampant spelling errors.

“It was in, like, the front yard of her house, and somebody who just came up, and she just thought somebody marked her with a pen.

When you have that kind of thing happen to you, that makes you scared of certain things, that makes you frightened of different things, your comedy comes out in a different kind of way, and it also makes you feel for people.”

Whether the mark really is “Marlene Dietrich noir glamour” or not, Tina Fey has survived unibrows, being uber frumpy, and a scarred face to boot. Doesn’t that make you love her more? It’s like a real-life Ugly Betty stuff with a great ending, especially when Hollywood agent Sue Mengers marvels that “suddenly, she’s become this sexy, showing-tit, hot-looking woman.”

A news anchor in Bangor, Maine (pictured at right, with the real Palin to her left) says she’s been getting comments — and sometimes hate mail — related to her apparently similar appearance to the Alaskan politician. Cindy Michaels says she even received one voicemail saying: “What is this…the K-mart version of Sarah Palin? What did you do, lose your little cheapo glasses?”

In a recent story on her own station, Michaels said she’s been sporting the Palin-style hair and glasses since long before she even knew who the potential VP was.

Hey, at least SNL now has a backup for when Tina Fey can’t make the show.
