Bill Murray stories are always so awesome.

First he got bagged for driving everyone in Stockholm home from the bar in a golf cart and refusing a breathalyzer. Then a book almost came out claiming that he had a habit of handing out $20 bills to random people in the lobby of Four Seasons hotels, saying their shoes needed shining or “you look hungry, go buy a sandwich.” Now reports are emerging of Murray randomly tending bar at SXSW.

The guy narrating it- who is, sorry to be trite, kind of a hipster douche- won’t shut his yap for more than half the video, but there are definitely some great shots of Murray just straight up serving people drinks. And not just any drinks. Apparently, Bill took orders for everything but only served… Tequila. And even that’s not awesome enough for a story, so RZA and GZA of Wu-Tang were also involved somehow. In comparison, Donut Day looks kind of lame.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find you guys any free tequila offers, but it’s still a great excuse to get your drunk on. When exactly July 24th became a national holiday of Tequila and the origins of the holiday remain unclear. But hey, National Tequila Day!

Interestingly, babies and bruises of unidentifiable origin aren’t Tequila’s only side effects. From Fast Company:

Last year a group of scientists found that by vaporizing tequila and then heating it to nearly 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit, they could create diamonds. The balance of ethanol and water in tequila is so ideal that even an inexpensive bottle of gold tequila can produce 100-400 nanometer diamond sheets free of imperfections.

The scientists found that heated vapor from common brand Tequila Blanco, when deposited on a stainless steel base, can form diamond films.

Before you rush out and by Tequila to cook your own diamonds for that special person in your life, the end result isn’t as exciting as it seems, because the diamond crystals produced are too small to use in Jewelry.

The tequila diamonds could be used to “detect radiation, coat cutting tools or, above all, as a substitute for silicon in the computer chips of the future,” said Miguel Apatiga, a researcher at the National Autonomous University of Mexico told the media.
