A mother in Georgia was arrested after allowing her 10-year-old son to get a tattoo.

Chuntera Napier said that her son asked if he could get a tattoo on his arm in memorial for his 12-year-old brother who died in a car accident. Napier said that she was touched by the boy’s request and had no idea that it was illegal.

Napier said:

“My son came to me and said, ‘Mom, I want to get a tattoo with Malik on it, rest in peace.’ It made me feel good to know that he wanted his brother on him. What do I say to a child who wants to remember his brother? It’s not like he was asking me, ‘Can I get Sponge Bob?’ He asked me [for] something that’s in remembrance of his brother. How can I say no?”

WCTI12 reports that the boy was spotted at school with the tattoo on his arm and one of the teachers contacted authorities. Napier was arrested and charged with misdemeanor cruelty and being a party to a crime. But the Georgia mom insists she didn’t know what she was doing was illegal.

“I always thought that if a parent gave consent, then it was fine. How can somebody else say that it’s not okay? He’s my child, and I have the right to say what I want for my child. I can’t go tell anybody else what I want for their child.”

The Marietta Daily reports that police are now searching for the tattoo artist. Police say that Napier is not giving them the information they need to find the tattoo artist.

Former Van Halen lead singer Sammy Hagar has listened to the bands new single “Tattoo” and he apparently has nothing nice to say about the single.

Speaing to Britain’s Cack Blabbath he said of Tattoo:

“I personally don’t think that what they have just released, what I have seen and heard, is great at all,” while adding, ”It should be better than it is but hey, it is what it is and at least they got together and at least they came out with something.”

The fact that Sammy Hagar doesn’t really like what the band is throwing down shouldn’t come as a surprise, he was kicked out of the band on bad terms in 1996 while being replaced by David Lee Roth, a singer who has helped the band with their 2012 tour with brisk ticket sales.

In the meantime the bands “A Different Kind of Truth” album will drop on February 7, marking the first time in 26 years that Van Halen has released an album of new tracks.

Hagar goes on to explain his falling out with the band to the British music site:

“I got thrown out because I didn’t want to do a greatest hits record. I said, ‘Why the f—, we’re the biggest band in the world, every album we’ve done since I’ve been in the band has been at No. 1, we’ve sold out every arena on the planet, now why would you want to sell them the same old record again and give them two new tracks?’

Jay Wornick of New York never thought that he can lose 200 pounds. A bet with his wife, however, urged him to shed the weight from 366 pounds to just 166 pounds.

The bet went like this: Wornick’s wife, Angela, challenged him last January 1 on who can lose the highest percentage of body weight with the loser having the winner’s name tattooed on his or her body.

In just a little more than 10 months, Wornick lost weight by cutting on eating big servings of steaks, lesser meat, switched to water than soda, and working out without any personal trainer. At the end of the first month, he lost 40 pounds. To compensate for the lack of trainer, he consulted the web for diet tips, including that of Dr. Oz.

Wornick recalled his old eating habits, saying:

“There were times when Angela would go to bed and I would get two large pizzas, a box of Ho Hos and a 12-pack of soda. I would eat it all by myself at like 1 in the morning after eating huge meals all day. She never knew.”

He issued a call to overweight people to change their lifestyle:

“I never thought I’d be able to stay with it, but I have not cheated in over 10 months, not once. I’ve turned it into my lifestyle. It’s not a diet. To me, it’s just how I live now. I want overweight people to know that there’s hope. You don’t have to give up or settle, you can be healthy and active. I know what you feel like.”

Angela will have Jay’s name tattooed on her back soon.

If you don’t want your family to issue a resuscitation order when you’re in the hospital or have paramedics revive you when they arrive on the scene of an accident you can put all arguments at rest by following the example of 81-year-old UK resident Joy Tomkins, she recently had a “do not resuscitate” tattoo placed on her upper chest.

Speaking to the BBC Joy revealed:

“If I’m found lying about and can’t say something, I want [medics] to accept that.”

She says it’s not a problem if she’s found on her stomach because she also had a tattoo placed on her back that reads “P.T.O” (please turn over). Along with her PTO message is an arrow pointing towards her front side DNR tattoo.

Tompkins was quick to point out that she doesn’t have a death wish, in fact she’s rather healthy:

“I’ve had 80 good, interesting years of marriage and children and grandchildren and plenty of friends,” she says. “I’m quite happy if I wake up in the morning, but if I don’t I’m just as happy.”

Hopefully if she’s found on her stomach the paramedics actually know what P.T.O. stands for.

According to Philly.com, Artist Buffalo Bill, of Sunbury, offered a free Hillary tattoo to any takers because his daughter Sarah Taby is a big Clinton supporter and thought the tattoo would give Clinton good exposure.
