Here’s a really bad idea, injecting beef fat into your face, but that’s exactly what Janet Hardt, 63, did on Thursday at her south suburban home outside of Chicago.

The Homewood resident injected beef into her face around her mouth and chin, something she had done on several other occasions, however several hours later she was rushed to the hospital after her face became singed and felt like it was burning from the inside out.

Hardt was taken to Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest and according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office she was pronounced dead at 6:25pm.

Apparently she was no stranger to facial type procedures, having gone under the knife several times.

At this time the medical examiner’s office has not determined her cause of death, while an autopsy is scheduled for later in the day on Friday.

If I had to wager a guess I would have to say that the cause of death had something to do with Janet injecting animal beef into her face but I could be wrong.

Homewood Police are not currently answering questions about the death.

Would you be willing to inject beef fat into your face if it removed wrinkles and gave you a younger appearance without the possibility of death? I wonder if she smelled like burgers all the time.

Keisha Jones, 38, was livid when she discovered her husband and the father of her children had carried on an affair with another woman for years, an affair that resulted in a child.

Jones became determined to eliminate the problem at the source: Monique Hunter’s baby. Jones stole a doctor’s prescription pad and called Hunter, 25, from a phone number spoofed to look like that of an OB-GYN. Posing as an employee of Hunter’s doctor, Jones urged the woman to pick up a prescription for a drug that she convinced Hunter, 25, would prevent the child from being born with Down’s Syndrome. (Hunter, in her seventh month of pregnancy, apparently believed this.) The drug, actually a medication called Cytotec, caused Jones to immediately go into labor. She gave birth to a baby boy she named Anthony, Jr. at Kings County Hospital. (Oh, burn, Keisha!)

Jones, foiled in her attempts on the child’s life, then sent a man with an unidentified substance in water bottles labeled “breast milk” to the hospital. Eagle eyed nurses immediately deduced that the fluid (which had not eminated from Hunter’s breasts) was not breastmilk, and contacted police, who slowly pieced together the continuing assaults on the mother and child.

Jones, who reportedly also gave birth to a child last month, was arrested Friday and charges are pending for assault, attempted abortion, forgery and possession of a forged instrument. Jones’ husband is not thought to have been involved in the plot against Monique Hunter and her son.

A 15 year old girl from Staten Island NY got a surprise while walking and texting on her phone recently – she stepped into an open manhole and fell into the sewer below.

Alexa Longueira was walking along Victory Boulevard, texting on her phone and not looking where she was going. City workers were flushing out the sewer system in the area and stepped away for a few seconds to get cones to mark the danger when the girl fell in.

Longueira suffered scrapes on her arms and back as a result of the 5 foot drop, along with a scare and a bruised ego. She was also covered in smelly sewage when the workers retrieved her, and she lost one of her running shoes.

Her mother plans on suing the city because the workers should have been more dilligent in enforcing safety protocols and barricaded the manhole, or at least marked it before opening it.

No word on if the girl texted while she was in the sewer or not.
