Ya, ya, I’m a steampunk fan. I’ve never hidden that fact even though I probably would never actually own any steampunked items I still think that the creativity that people have to take every day items and turn them into Victorian sci-fi works of art is pretty incredible.

Without a doubt this offering from one steampunker has to not only talk to steampunk fans but steps up the game and tweaks NERF fanatics love of the iconic toy.

The NERF N-Strike Barricade RV-10 is courtesy of someone called faustus70 and is a completely reworked NERF gun using planks from a wooden chair and then wrapped in hand cut aluminum strips. The magazine is big enough to hold ten whistler darts which means not does this gun look cool it’s also a functional NERF gun.

Over the weekend I brought the steampunk version of some Marvel superheros and as cool as they might be I am sure that not everyone felt the same way so I stepping up the game a little bit and bringing you this really cool Optimus Prime from the Transformers.

Of course good old Optimus Prime can be found in just about any toy store but I doubt any of them will be as cool as this one. You see Encline Designs has hand crafted a steampunk version of OP that collapses into a beautiful looking steam engine.

Ya, I’m a sucker for just about anything steampunk but toss in some of my favorite comic characters from the Marvel universe and you get a lot of damn I wish I owned those moments.

I mean what else can you say about a Victorian era version of Iron Man with a just right dose of steampunk thrown in for good measure?

The work is by a gentleman going by the nickname of Sillof, pronounced “Si” (like Psi or Sci-fi ) and “llof” (like cough or pilaf), who has been doing this kind of thing most of his life as a hobby.

You can find the complete collection of his works at Sillof’s Workshop but these are my favorites from his Victorian Marvels collection. Also one off the cool things about the collection is that Sillof has created a back story for some of the characters he has re-imaged so take a few minutes to drop by the site and check them out further.

Jonathan Kuriscak apparently has a bit of a Star Wars fixation. Not your normal fixation though as he creates versions of the famous characters in the movie that might exist in different times much like this collection.

Based in St. Paul, Minnesota, Kuriscak started his one-man operation Pack Rat Studios in 2009 after collecting figures for 16 years. “At my parents’ house I have my old bedroom closet filled with figures I collected in my high-school days,” Kuriscak told Wired.com in an e-mail. “I kind of went through a Darth Maul kick…. OK, maybe not a kick, maybe an obsession. I have four huge boxes of Darth Maul figures and paraphernalia … sheesh … I’m a dork, but I love it.”

Oh be still my heart, the dream movie of every male geek’s heart is coming to the movie screen next March but Warner Bros. gave everyone at this year’s Comic-Con, and now us, a tease of what is t o come when they released the trailer for Zack Snyder’s new movie – Sucker Punch.

I mean, seriously, hot looking babes, steampunk, fantasy, swords, kick-ass smack downs of the bad guys and all in one movie. What more can a guy ask for?

This has to be something that is right out of Warehouse 13. Bruce Rosenbaum is what you would have to consider as a true die-hard fan of steampunk because only someone who loves the genre as much as he apparently does could put together such an absolutely beautiful steampunk workstation.

Everything decked in for the Command Desk compilation is authentic Victorian antique. Then be it the inverted Chapel organ pipes mounted on the wall behind the setup, or the all-in-one workstation desk completed in 3 monitors, printer, scanner and webcam, of course the keyboard and other peripherals included. The Victorian Organ Command Desk besides the aforementioned, has a iPhone doc, horn speakers on either side, USB and card media readers, a scanner under the keyboard, a clock face flanked in 6 LCD digital picture frame displays and a pair of coach lamps with neon flicker bulbs for all that ambience required.

Who doesn’t love Nikola Tesla?

He’s a steampunk hero, and in life, he was undeniably drenched in awesomesauce. If you’re unfamiliar with the total win that is Nikola Tesla, check out this Funny or Die Drunk History video that runs down the contributions Tesla made to modern society. The video features John C. Reilly as Nikola Tesla and Crispin Glover as Thomas Edison, but it also has copious puking if that kind of thing grosses you out.

The cake was created by Mike’s Amazing Cakes in Seattle for a couple by the name of Liz and Austin

Liz and Austin’s steampunked wedding cake. The metallic gears, doors, rivets, and panels were all made of fondant and were entirely edible. This is probably the baddest-ass wedding cake you will ever see. Respect.

Best part: the cake tasted just as decadent as it looked! I had a slice of the lemon layer after photographing it.

Never mind those wimpy Spiderman masks or even the Obama ones because this has to be just the perfect geekie gamer type of mask for Halloween. The mask is from Bob Basset and his Ukrainian steampunk mask making group.

I would have loved one of these when I was kid but now I’d probably keep it safely out of folks reach on a shelf.

Kevin Tong – taking inspiration for people like H.G. Wells and da Vinci – has created the iSteamMac. Unfortunately it is only available as a graphic on your choice of a t-shirt or poster. The t-shirt version is on an America Apparel Cream colored tee and will cost you $20.00 (plus shipping).

The screen printed poster is two-color on 100lb. acid-free French Speckletone paper – 24 inches x 18 inches – but there is only a limited edition of 300. The poster will cost you $15 (plus shipping) but you gotta admit it would look pretty cool framed and hanging on your wall.

Want to see what Mickey, Goofy and the rest of the Disney crew look like in your kid’s worst nightmares?

Several conceptual drawings for a new Mickey Mouse game have been dug up by Internet detectives, many of which are decidedly creepy: imagine Disney meets Fallout 3. Think I’m kidding? Then scroll down to see Goofy in zombie form, flesh hanging from his rickety frame as he stumbles about, his eye sockets empty. Or how about Mickey himself, reimagined as some kind of hellish mechanical arachnid? Usually, this is the kind of fanart you’d see at the likes of deviantART, but these sketches appear to be for an actual, real game.

Rumors about a title called Epic Mickey (supposedly overlooked by Warren Spector, designer of the brilliant Deus Ex) first surfaced last year. This art would now appear to confirm the game’s existence. Further validation comes from the personal website of one Tony Pulham, an artist for Spector’s Junction Point studio, who lists the game on his resume as a “Wii Video Game.”

Also worth noting: leaked details have previously revealed that Mickey would go up against “a certain pesky plumber.” Mickey and Mario in the same game? A little bit of history right there, folks.

I’m just amazed Disney is willing to roll with this. You’ve come a long way since Castle of Illusion, mouse.
