Driving a Prius might be trendy, but they don’t always offer the best crash protection, as Australian actress and occasional singer Sophie Monk has found out.

According to reports, Monk was driving her black Prius in Hollywood when she had an altercation with an SUV. Monk was able to walk away from the accident, although is believed to have been taken to hospital for testing.

Both cars were towed from the scene, and there’s no further word on Monk’s condition.

The Sunday Telegraph did the math, and have discovered that this was six weeks prior to Benji Madden’s break up with new Hollywood it girl, Sophie Monk.
