<p>The company has <a href="http://blogs.technet.com/johmar/archive/2008/05/23/preview-social-bookmarking-on-msdn-technet.aspx">revealed plans</a> to release a new tool called, fittingly, Social Bookmarks. A partial preview version is expected to be released next week, according to MS employee John Martin&#8217;s <a href="http://blogs.technet.com/johmar/archive/2008/05/23/preview-social-bookmarking-on-msdn-technet.aspx">blog</a>. </p>
<p>Martin says the program will let <a href="http://msdn.microsoft.com/">MSDN</a> and <a href="http://technet.microsoft.com/">TechNet</a> users bookmark any URL, apply tags, and access their bookmarks from anywhere. All that information will also be sharable with the community.</p>
<p>Not the most innovative idea, necessarily, but we&#8217;ll see where Microsoft takes it.</p>
