Bobby Brown rushed to wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown’s side on Saturday afternoon when she was driven to the hospital after suffering a seizure in the couple’s Kissimmee, Florida hotel room.

Bobby Brown was in the middle of a soundcheck with his group, New Edition, when he received news of the medical emergency.

Following a brief scare for the newly wed couple, Brown later tweeted:

“The report that my wife was rushed to the hospital is true. She is recovering and is in good spirits and doing well. Please keep my family in your prayers.”

Brown and Alicia were wed in Honolulu in June 2012. Alicia also happens to be Bobby Brown’s business manager. The couple were engaged for nearly two full years before finally tying the knot less than 24 hours after Bobby Brown performed a New Edition show in Honolulu.

According to PEOPLE:

“Brown credited Etheredge-Brown with giving him a new lease on life after his 2007 divorce from Whitney Houston, who died last February.”

It has been a tumultuous few months for both Bobby Brown and Alicia Brown after Bobby checked himself into a rehab center for a short period of time. That three-week rehab stint was required after Bobby Brown was arrested for several driving-related infractions earlier this year including a DUI.

With drug accusations still swirling around Bobby Brown since the sudden death of Whitney Houston, we expect more questions will be raised even if his wife’s recent medical condition is 100 percent non-drug related.

Commerce Secretary John Bryson is taking an immediate leave of accident following three car accidents in which he was cited for felony hit-and-run.

According to Commerce officials Bryson suffered from a seizure and was not aware of his action following several hit-and-run accidents.

Bryson said of his decision:

“I notified President Obama that effective immediately I am taking a medical leave of absence so I can focus all of my attention on resolving the health issues that arose over the weekend.”

Filling in for the Commerce Secretary will be his second in command Rebecca Blank.

The White House released a short statement about John Bryson’s decision, noting:

“President Obama’s thoughts are with Secretary Bryson and his family during this time.”

During his three accidents Bryson rear-ended a vehicle and exchanged insurance information only to hit the car again as he drove away, he then rear-ended a second vehicle and fled the scene.  Police found Bryson unconscious behind the wheel following the third accident and cited him for felony hit-and-run.

Police administered a breathalyzer at the scene and took a sample of Bryson’s blood.

Police at the time claimed the hit-and-run accidents were intentional, however a law enforcement spokesman has now revealed that the Commerce Secretary will not be charged in those accidents.

The White House in the meantime has tried to make it very clear that they are not yet blaming the accidents on the alleged seizure.

It is not yet known how long Bryson plans to remain out of public office.

A young boy in Australia was taken to the hospital after several gory surgery scenes in the sci-fi movie Prometheus gave him a seizure.

The film which was given an R-rating in the United States was given a more lenient MA15+ rating in Australia which originally meant children under 15 had to be accompanied by a guardian. Eventually that rating was further dropped to a simple M rating when distributor Fox made an appeal to the Australian Classification Review Board. With the new rating younger viewers could watch the movie without adult supervision.

The 15-year-old was watching Prometheus at Kindabyne in the state’s south when he began having his seizure.

The boy was rushed to Cooma District Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Seizures related to movies filled with violent scenes are nothing new in Australia, Sydney filmmaker Joseph Sims tells Australia’s News Network that similar seizure reports circulated when the movie Pulp Fiction debuted in 1994.

Sims tells the publication:

“There’s a famous story where Quentin Tarantino was at a New York theatre presenting the film and someone had a seizure during that scene.”

While Prometheus has its gory moments Sims points out that the blood was “blackened” which took away much of the “gore” factor.

In the meantime exactly what brought on the boys seizure is still not known and the film’s production studio Fox has yet to comment on the seizure.

During the inauguration celebrations for President Obama it appears that Senator Ted Kennedy suffered a seizure and has been rushed to hospital. It happened during the luncheon held for the new president and the paramedics were called to the scene at 2:35pm. According to what a Republican House member told CNN the Senator had a seizure that lasted for some time.

Kennedy was still seizing as he was put into a wheelchair and taken out through the Rayburn room. It isn’t known if President Obama was aware of the incident as it was happening. We’ll update the story as more news comes in.
