“I’m committed to UCLA,” Combs said, according to Scout.com. “I was silently committed to UCLA for a while, but now was the time.”

Justin’s decision to play for the Bruins comes just one day after the team fired head coach Rick Neuheisel, following a 50-0 loss to rival USC.

Combs, a 5-foot-9, 170-pound cornerback at Iona Prep in New Rochelle, N.Y., says he is not concerned about the fact that UCLA does not have a head coach because his love for the school is “so strong.”

“I have faith in the program that everything will be OK,” said Combs explained. “I trust and know that everything will work out.”

When asked his feelings on Justin’s choice to head out west and play for the Bruins, Diddy told Access Hollywood:

“As a parent, today is one of the proudest moments of my life. This is everything a father could want for his son, for him to excel at what he loves to do and is truly passionate about. Justin is a shining example of what hard work, determination and a strong mentality can achieve. I am honored to call him my son and am happy that he is fulfilling his dream.”

It’s not everyday that we get to report on a huge contribution by a celebrity, especially one that saves an entire organization but that’s exactly what happened this week when Sean “Diddy” Combs made a sizeable donation to save the Boys & Girls Club of Harlem.

The Harlem branch was set to be ousted due to cuts in state budgets and personal donations until Diddy stepped in and saved the local area branch of the nationwide organization.

Speaking to AllHipHop.com Willie C. Bentley, Jr., Board Member and Resource Development Chair of The Boys and Girls Club of Harlem said of Comb’s donation:

Mr. Combs’ contribution comes at a time when we were faced with the possibility of eliminating existing programs and/or club sites. 100% of Mr. Combs’ contribution will go directly to the young people, and provide educational, recreational and social enrichment programs allowing us to move forward as a club, uninterrupted.

If you’re unfamiliar with the organization the Boys & Girls Club provides children with a safe place to gather after school and during days off, ensuring that those children don’t roam the streets or get left home alone.

His music label might be called “Bad Boy Entertainment” but he’s pretty much the exact opposite of a “bad boy” these days.

Diddy has canceled tonights show in Phoenix after falling ill and burning up with a fever.

According to the hip hop moguls rep:

“Sean has a high fever and is under doctor’s orders to stay in bed.”

Diddy broke the news to his Phoenix fans on Twitter, tweeting:

“i guess i pushed it too far because i literally cant get outta bed.” He goes on to say:  ”im sorry phoenix-i regretfully have to cancel the show. im so sorry.”

Combs has always made it a point to push himself as hard as he possibly can, if he’s canceling a show it’s safe to say that he has a fairly high fever.

I am not hip in any sense of the word, so I don’t know what Mr. Sean Combs is calling himself these days, but to me he will always be Puffy, so I guess that is what I will call him. Apparently Puffy was busy on Twitter recently when he went out of his way to say that he wants to buy a NFL team. It seems Puffy is on a crusade to become the first ever African American Majority owner of a NFL franchise. The main problem, currently no NFL teams are for sale.

Say what you will about Puffy, I am not a fan of his, his music, or his work, but one thing cannot be denied is that he is a marketing genius. For example I don’t think I could name you one of his songs, but I know who he is and that he works for his own record label. If I know that, plenty of you know all about this guy. I think he would be a great NFL owner, in terms of marketing and the attention he could bring to not only his team but the league itself.

I don’t particularly care for the crusty old guard that owns the majority of NFL teams today. My Detroit Lions are owned by one William Clay Ford who is not dynamic in any way. Sure Jerry Jones is a A-Hole, and sometimes way over the top but sports leagues need characters like that and Puffy would add a little something to the NFL.

In the end Puffy probably faces a uphill fight to get approved to purchase a team once one becomes available, but I think for once this league should think outside of the box and embrace a guy like this joining the ownership ranks.

Sean Puff Diddy Combs has released a video which both flogs his new perfume for men, and represents his dreams of being the first black James Bond.  Black President, black James Bond, it’s a brave new world.

The video is hilarious. My favourite line which is repeated every minute or so is “I believe, therefore I am”, which I think he may have nicked from Obama, who he also dedicates the fragrance to.

The movie cost $1 million, and is essentially (if you can’t be bothered watching) is Diddy repeating a couple of key phrases voiced over the top of scenes which feature him and hot chicks. It was shot in the South of France.

“I would like to also announce that this is my audition tape for the next James Bond. I feel like I am best suited to be the next James Bond,” Diddy says in his Youtube video.

His dream of becoming James Bond is at best a joke, Daniel Craig he is not. And those wooden lame phrases he repeats are funny, but as a marketing tool for his expensive man-scent it’s brilliant.

Diddy does not know the meaning of stop while you’re ahead. He now claims in his newest YouTube response to the “jet controversy” that he owns a “wing” of a plane registered under another name. How he has so much time puzzles me, as well as the fact that he still reads too much of his own press.

I agree with E!. Diddy needs to step away from the computer and take a breather. The video is here, but if you can’t stomach it, don’t worry– it’s not an “official Diddy blog.”

Remember when Diddy was crying about his jet being too expensive and having to fly commercial? It turns out that the jet was actually “his.” I love it:

“Federal aviation records don’t show Diddy as the registered owner of any private jet. A source said, ‘I have a list of every plane with the name of the owner, and he’s not on it.’ Did they check all 10,000 of his names?”

It turns out that he pays by the hour with a fractional ownership. It’s still better than a lot of us, but when you hold yourself to mega-star standards. . . you get judged, and judged hard. Touche, you big baby!

The trouble probably started up after Sean “Diddy” Combs rapped “They call me Puff Daddy. . . he’s back” on the O’Neal McKnight single remix “Check Your Coats.”

As soon as I saw this gem in US Weekly, I knew that I should ride it out for a while. Just as predicted, after we all thought that Sean “Diddy” Combs wanted his name changed back to “Puff Daddy,” his rep has swiftly gone around squashing rumors left and right. Surprised? Probably not, especially if you’ve already had to adapt by calling him Puffy, Diddy, and Sean Jean in the past!

“This is not true. There is no name change,” his rep told US Weekly after the reports of the change circulated.

One thing that really should have been sorted out was his MySpace page, then. If he didn’t want confusion over what the f- he should be called, do you think he should have posted “This is your boy Puff Daddy!!! Yes Puff Daddy“? His rep probably wants to kick him at the moment, and rightly so.

Talk about the perfect way to get ridiculed. Saturday Night Live is going to have a field day with this one.
