String Cheese Incident Reunited

The String Cheese Incident stopped playing together in August of 2007 when guitarist and vocalist Billy Nershi decided to work on his own individual projects.

“”There are no plans for the String Cheese Incident beyond summer of 2007,” the band announced at the time. “The band would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to our friends and fans for all your support.”

The String Cheese Incident’s Web site doesn’t specifically say that Nershi will be playing at the event, though it does call the show “SCI’s Only Incident of 2009.”

Rothbury 2009 Lineup

The Rothbury 2009 festival, held about three hours northwest of Detroit from July 2 through July 5, is actually produced by Madison House Presents — a company with ties to the String Cheese Incident’s business organization. Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. MDT Friday here.
