Katy Perry was reportedly involved in the recent split between the once Twilight lovebirds, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Though the break-up has yet to be confirmed by neither Pattinson nor Stewart, multiple reports have revealed that the two have decided to call it quits after three years together.

Perry was recently seen partying it up at the MET Gala Costume Ball and was also pictured with Pattinson during the event, while Stewart walked the red carpet. The two also attended the Coachella Music Festival and spent a night together in Los Angeles on May 9th, where Stewart was no where to be found.

An unidentified source told E!News that Perry “played a role, as one of many reasons” in the split between the two Twilight stars, which occurred this past Saturday.

It’s been reported that Katy Perry’s friendship, which seems to be much closer than anyone imagined, with Robert Pattinson made Stewart feel insecure among other things. The trio have been close friends for some time, and Perry was also expected to attend Pattinson’s 27th birthday bash at Stewart’s house.

An A-list break-up for the books, the pair’s relationship hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Kristen Stewart immediately apologized in a statement to People in 2012 after admitting to cheating with Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

Pattinson got past the incident and the relationship remained, though everything got a bit rocky from there. Now the duo has split, and a source told Heat magazine that Pattinson has a thing for Katy Perry.

“Katy was Kristen’s friend first, but she gets on with Rob brilliantly. It’s clear to everyone that Rob’s got a bit of a crush on Katy and she totally plays up to it,” the source told Heat magazine.

Though Pattinson and Stewart were considered inseparable at points in their relationship, they recently spent a lot of time apart before their break-up this past weekend.

“They again went from spending every second together, to spending more time apart at their separate houses,” a source told People. “Kristen has been in a terrible mood, and it was obvious that things were not great with Rob.”

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are reportedly experiencing a little bump in their relationship. Must be Friday, right?

In all seriousness, since Pattinson and Stewart never talk to the press about their relationship and seemingly have a standing gag order among friends and family, photographs of the two walking hand-in-hand at Coachella eventually cause someone to say, ”Gee, Rob looks not so happy in this picture.”

Then, due to the game of media telephone, that gets translated into “Rob and Kristen are a little rocky, this time they’re definitely breaking up … ”

” … Allegedly … ”

” … Reportedly … ”

Translation: “We made all of this up.”

Still, E! News claims to have it on good authority that Robsten are not doing so hot right now, revealing that things are “a little rocky” between the Twilight lovebirds.

“He’s been hanging out with the boys a lot, and she’s been with her girlfriends,” one source says. “They seem to be living separate lives at the moment. I haven’t seen her around at all.”

The two were supposed to spend Pattinson’s birthday party together last Monday, but apparently ended up fighting instead, with MSN dryly quipping that “K.Stew was photographed showing some actual emotion on her face.”

Really? I don’t see it.

Anyway, another source is downplaying the “rocky” rumors, saying that thing are on the up-and-up, they’re just having normal couple problems.

“They are absolutely still together but are having some difficulties right now,” the insider says. “They’ll be fine. I do not foresee a split — they are just crazy in love. This is just another bump in the road.”

They’re up, they’re down, they’re public, they’re private, they’re staring blankly into cameras, they look like they’ve recently showered (this week). What are you going to do with these kids?

David Cronenberg’s Maps To the Stars‘ imaginative casting call now adds Evan Bird, Mia Wasikowska and Olivia Williams.

The trio join Robert Pattinson, Sarah Gadon, Julianne Moore and John Cusack, the latter three cast as recently as last month.

The growing line-up is yet another healthy indicator of Maps To The Stars now on-target course to the big screen. A six year labor of love for Cronenberg and screenwriter-novelist Bruce Wagner, early exits from the film by Rachel Weisz and Viggo Mortensen appeared to augur the end or at least a serious setback for the project.

But tenaciousness will out, and Cronenberg seemingly has ‘will’ in spades.

Nutshelled, the plot arcs two film industry ex-child stars who become “ruined by Hollywood’s depravity,” while last month Deadline added a new tangent to the plot describing it as a “ghost story.” Further details here.

In Maps, Bird will play a disturbed, drug-addicted child star. Williams will take on the role of his manipulative mom, while Wasikowska gets to revel in the part of his fame-hungry, disfigured, schizophrenic sister. Not exactly the Waltons, then.

As yet there are no firm deets on Pattinson, Moore and Cusack’s characters, but suffice it to say Cronenberg’s pitch black take on Tinsel Town will make fine use of their considerable talents.

Produced by Martin Katz via his Prospero Pictures banner and SBS Productions for Said Ben Said, Katz wears two hats and is financing with Entertainment One.

The Hollywood Reporter notes Sentient Entertainment’s Renee Tab, who is also Cronenberg’s manager will executive produce, as will eOne’s Benedict Carver. Integral Films’ Alfred Hurmer will co-produce.

The shoot is slated to begin in July in Toronto and Los Angeles, the latter a first time film location for Cronenberg.

And speaking of first’s — albeit this next is relative — Maps to the Stars marks the first time since 2007′s “Eastern Promises” that the auteur will work from an original screenplay rather than an adaptation.

For those who may have been getting anxious about David Cronenberg’s Maps to the Stars, today is a big day. Acclaimed actors John Cusack, Julianne Moore and Sarah Gadon have now joined the cast.

Robert Pattinson, who worked with Cronenberg to great effect in Cosmopolis and verbally signed up to Maps early on, will be there to greet them on set.

It’s good news for the Bruce Wagner penned project which looked to have hit choppy waters in recent months.

In March, during press rounds for Oz: The Great and Powerful, Rachel Weisz revealed she was no longer attached to Maps and long-standing Cronenberg muse Viggo Mortensen also seems to have left the building.

Plans to begin shooting in June also appeared to hit a snag when Cronenberg took an acting role in Luca Guadagnino’s I am Love, synchronously another Don DeLillo adaptation which is due to begin filming this summer.

To say Maps now boasts a stellar payload is an understatement.

The addition of the multi-award winning Moore, Cusack and Gadon — and, of course — Pattinson sends a flare across the industry that Cronenberg’s six year labor of love is now back on track to the big screen.

Ending previous speculation, Universal Pictures chairman Adam Fogelson has today confirmed that Kristen Stewart will reprise her role in the first sequel to Snow White And The Huntsman.

During the studio’s panel at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Fogelson revealed that sequels, plural, are planned, with the first slated for 2015.

Speculation about the future of Snow White and The Huntsman — a worldwide hit with $396,592,829 box office — avalanched after Stewart’s admission of a tryst with the film’s married director, Rupert Sanders, while she was still in a relationship with (present) partner Robert Pattinson.

A premature report claiming Stewart had been dropped from the Snow White sequel surfaced in the Hollywood Reporter last August but was refuted by the studio in a statement carried in the Los Angeles Times.

A visibly excited Stewart confirmed her inclusion in the sequel — which, lets face it, can’t have been in danger, given the movie’s premise — to Indiewire in December. Understandably, the actress kept the details close to her chest, saying:

“I’m not allowed [to talk about the sequel]. The other day I said that there was a strong possibility that we’re going to make a sequel, and that’s very true, but everyone was like, ‘Whoa, stop talking about it.’ So no, I’m totally not allowed to talk about it.”

But, she did add: “Oh, it’s gonna be f***ing amazing. No, I’m so excited about it, it’s crazy!”

Crucially, Sanders won’t be returning to the set, which will bring a new feel and a fresh slate to a very viable franchise.

It was previously reported that Chris Hemsworth will play a larger role in the sequel, but nothing concrete has been announced. As for Charlize Theron, who played Queen Ravenna and died in the first Snow White, unless a prequel is in the works, it’s unlikely she will return.   

As yet, no title has been revealed for the sequel. So, for the moment, lets leave it as this: Snow White And The Huntsman 2 and Kristen Stewart, cometh.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were seen on a date in Los Angeles, holding hands and putting at least a temporary end to the rumors that their relationship has fizzled.

The two were seen out with friends is the city’s Los Feliz neighborhood, going out for sushi before taking an intimate walk together. Pattinson and Stewart held hands on their date and looked “really happy and lovey-dovey,” a witness told PopSugar.

“Kristen grabbed his arm, and they were walking and joking,” the witness said.

Pattinson and Stewart’s date came after a long time apart for the couple. Robert was gone from Kristen for months while filming his upcoming movie The Rover in Australia. Since then they’ve been making up for lost time, going on several dates including a March 19 trip to a karaoke bar and an appearance following the March 23 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

Before Pattinson’s return, the couple had been plagued by rumors of a breakup. Already on shaky ground after Kristen’s very public affair last summer with married director Rupert Sanders, some insiders said the couple was on the rocks.

In fact, some went so far as to say the relationship between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart was a sham and they were only pretending to be dating until the DVD release of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2.

“Rob & Kristen were asked to not announce a break-up or any relationship trouble until the DVD has been out for a few weeks and everything has sold,” a source revealed to Hollywooodlife back in March. “Since the first couple weeks are the times when the DVD will sell like wildfire. The more DVDs sold, the more money for them. So they are abiding by the request.”

The couple had endured other rumors of a sham relationship in the past. Back in the summer some wondered whether  Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were concocting the entire affair, working with Sanders to build publicity for all involved. Of course, that theory blew up when Sanders and wife Liberty Ross split later in the year.

And the latest rumors of a breakup seem to be quieted by Pattinson and Stewart going on a date in Los Angeles.

Robert Pattinson and fashion house Dior can now officially claim the title “Most Persistent Rumored Partnership.”

After a flurry of excitement in October when it was widely reported that the Brit actor had been signed as the new face of a Dior men’s fragrance, the deal was reported to be worth nearly $12 million, with most even carrying a quote from Pattinson that he “likes the brand.”

But with no subsequent announcement by either the Dior or Pattinson’s reps, it was relegated to rumor status and nothing more.

Fast forward to today.

The Sun is reporting that the Cosmopolis actor shot a Dior campaign last year.

Apparently it was “steamy” and for menswear, not a fragrance.

Reportedly, the deal is for three years and worth $12 million, just as it was last time around.

The British newspaper is quite explicit in its description of the shoot, which it says it got from a Dior ‘source.’

It would probably be remiss not to include it here:

“The advert is sexually explicit. It is pushing the boundaries of what you can get away with in advertising. Robert is topless for part of it and kissing one of the [three] models with tongues. He really gets stuck in. There’s another scene where he takes part in a foursome in various states of undress, although it’s not clear whether those scenes will make the final cut. According to the people on set, he didn’t take much persuading to get into the role. He got stuck right in.”

The Telegraph wonders if this rather “raunchy” sounding shoot sounds as if something Dior’s creative director Raf Simons would be keen on. So does The Inquisitr.

All will apparently be revealed in May when the adverts are unveiled, so until then it’s a case of stand down fashionistas.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have faced an unfair amount of public scrutiny over their relationship, the author of the Twilight book series said. And she thinks it’s her fault.

Author Stephenie Meyer said she feels guilty about their public relationship troubles after helping to launch their careers with the Twilight movie series. The couple met on the set of the first film, falling in love in real life as their on-screen characters also came together.

For Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, the relationship has been anything but tranquil. Though they have tried to keep quiet and private about their relationship, they have found their every move followed by tabloids. This scrutiny increased dramatically after Stewart was caught in a cheating scandal with Rupert Sanders, her married director in Snow White and the Huntsmen.

Stephenie Meyer said she can’t help but feel at least partly responsible.

“Here’s the thing: there are some actors who are looking to be world famous, to be that household name, and although they might discover that there are a lot of negative things involved in that, it’s what they want,” the author told The Times.

“But that doesn’t apply to Kristen and Rob. That’s what makes it kind of ironic and tragic.”

Part of the guilt comes from the fact that Meyer herself has seen the better side of Twilight fame.

“At the same time – and this is where the guilt comes from – it’s created this nice, peaceful place for me,” Meyer said. “They took all of my heat, which I feel bad about. If they had the choice, I’ve no idea if they’d even do Twilight again. I just don’t know. I think this has all come at a heavy price.”

Even with the Twilight series over, the relationship drama has continued for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. He is in Australia shooting a film, leading many people to speculate about whether the couple is taking a break. These rumors were compounded when Stewart was seen hitting up batting cages with fellow Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner.

For Robert Pattinson, staring down the barrel of a gun held by Guy Pearce in the sweltering heat of the South Australian desert while filming The Rover — is good times.

Fresh out of The Twilight Saga lock-up and looking to build on the — mostly — stunning notices he received for his role in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, Pattinson is out to explore new acting frontiers.

Right now that means David Michod’s The Rover.

Entertainment Weekly has just posted a first look at Pattinson and Pearce, two of the main stars in the film and it’s intense to say the least.

Billed as an “existential western set in the Australian outback of the near future after a catclysmic financial message,” and coming from the same director that debuted with 2010′s unsettling Animal Kingdom, chances are The Rover is not a laugh a minute romp.

Directed and written by Michod and based on an idea co-conceived with Zero Dark Thirty, The Great Gatsby star, Joel Edgerton, The Rover also stars Scoot McNairy (Killing Them Softly, Argo), Susan Prior (Animal Kingdom), Gillian Jones (Oscar  and Lucinda), Anthony Hayes (Burning Man), and David Field (Chopper).

Nutshelled, the plot follows Eric (Pearce) who is forced to pursue a dangerous criminal gang after they steal his last possession — his car — and something “priceless” contained in the car.

Along the way Eric enlists the help of Reynolds (Pattinson), the “naïve and injured junior member of the gang, who was left behind in the bloody chaos of the gang’s most recent robbery.”

Michôd spoke with EW about what audiences can expect from The Rover and Pearce and Pattinson’s roles.”The basic story is really quite elemental.” Michôd said, adding, ”You’ve got a really dark, dangerous, murderous person in Guy’s character, and in Rob’s character you have a quite troubled and damaged, but beautiful and naïve, soul.”

If the talk of “catalysmic” and  ”futuristic” deserts brings up memories of Mad Max, Michod is keen to avoid the comparison.”You put cars in the desert in Australia and people are going to think of Mad Max,” he said. But added, “And with all due respect to that film — and I stress that — I think The Rover is going to be way more chillingly authentic and menacing.”

Rachel Weisz has left the cast of David Cronenberg’s Maps to the Stars.

In November last year, it was announced that the actress was joining the Canadian helmer’s six-year labor-of-love to co-star with Robert Pattinson and Viggo Mortensen. But for reasons that may or may not be to do with scheduling, Weisz is no longer on board and has been making her departure known during press rounds for Oz: The Great and Powerful. 

Weisz’s exit is just the latest twist in Maps to the Stars’ meandering journey to screen. Back in January, Cronenberg revealed his long time collaborator Viggo Mortensen — who was always tentative — might not be able to sign on. But that isn’t a firm “no.”

The man behind cinematic gems such as A History of Violence, eXistenZ, The Dead Zone, Dead Ringers, Spider, and latterly Cosmopolis has spoken of the difficulties of getting Indie projects to take flight before. In May 2012, while promoting his latest film Cosmopolis, which also stars Pattinson, the 69-year-old said of Maps to the Stars:

“It’s not a go picture. We have a script that I love that Bruce [Wagner] wrote. It’s a very difficult film to get made as was Cosmopolis actually. Whether I can get this movie to happen, I tried it five years ago, I couldn’t get it made, so I still might not be able to get it made.”

Since then, both Pattinson and Cronenberg have talked about their hopes for getting the film off the ground, with the director reiterating why he wanted to work with the Brit actor again.

 ”I really think he’s a terrific actor. He’s extremely inventive. He surprised me every day on Cosmopolis with the nuances and things that he did which were unexpected. Of course I was very familiar with the dialogue and yet he would surprise me. And I thought, this is a guy who I would like to work with some more.”

With a script penned by veteran producer-screenwriter Bruce Wagner (State of the Union, White Dwarf) and Saïd Ben Saïd (Carnage, Passion, Far), Martin Katz, and German Integral Films producing, back in November  it was reported that production start plans were slated for May on a budget of $15 million.

With Weisz now gone, it’s unclear whether that commencement date still holds.

Although none of the three leads were ever formally signed on to Maps, it does seem as though Pattinson is along for the ride although he has a full film year ahead.

Currently filming in the South Australian desert with Guy Pearce and Scoot McNairy in David Michod’s sweltering, criminal thriller The Rover, the Brit’s next films run the gamut of psycho-military espionage in Mission: Blacklist; a femme fatale and murder in Hold On To Me, Imperial history in Queen of the Desert, and Maps — when, and if, it happens.

Cronenberg also recently joined Luca Guadagnino’s adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel The Body Artist, in an acting role. Co-starring Isabelle Huppert and Denis Lavant, the production shoots this summer.

As for Weisz, the actress is getting great reviews in Oz, and is next slated to be starring opposite husband, Daniel Craig in a Broadway play later this year.

Transformed from the glittering Twilight vampire Edward and Cosmopolis’  slick, Gucci clad finance wunderkind Eric Packer, Pattinson has been fitted with yellow, crooked teeth; a brutal haircut; and dirt encrusted casuals for his new role.

Directed by the acclaimed David Michod (Animal Kingdom), The Rover stars Guy Pearce (Memento, LA Confidential, Prometheus), Scoot McNairy (Killing Them Softly, Argo), Gillian Jones (Oscar and Lucinda, The Tree), and Anthony Hayes and Susan Prior (both Animal Kingdom).

Nutshelled, the film tells the story of Eric (Pearce), a traveler in the Australian desert who gets drawn into the orbit of a ruthless gang of criminals after they steal his car and something priceless hidden in it. Along the way, Eric enlists the help of Reynolds (Pattinson), described as “the naïve and injured junior member of the gang” who gets left behind after a previous robbery.

According to Indiewire, Pattinson described The Rover as:

“[It's] a kind of a western. It’s very existential. It’s really interesting. I couldn’t really explain to you what it’s about, but it’s sort of about how much pain can the world take and how much disgust and cruelty before love dies. I think that’s kind of what it’s about.”

Noting the above, pictures of the 26-year-old Brit wearing what appears to be a prosthetic of unattractive rotting teeth while filming scenes with Pearce seems entirely appropriate.

Variety recently reported that The Rover had moved into production, locating in Southern Australia in various small towns near Adelaide. Previous shots of  Pattinson shooting a fight scene near Quorn revealed a glimpse of the grueling action the film will showcase.

In the new pictures, a muscular body-double for Pattinson can be seen on set wearing the same clothes as the actor, which is an strong indication that the film will feature violent aspects.

The seven week shoot is slated to finish on March 16 with filming scheduled to take place in the mountainous Flinders Ranges before post-production moves to Sydney.

Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce, who are currently shooting The Rover in South Australia, surprised Aussie film fans attending Tropfest 2013 with a video shout-out on Sunday.

Tropfest, which bills itself as the world’s largest short film festival, provides a platform for homegrown talent and is now in its 21st year. Held at Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens, live satellite links enable thousands in Australia to watch as sixteen finalists compete for a cash prize.

The festival was in fact won by Nicolas Clifford’s We’ve All Been There.

Pattinson and Pearce’s message was short but sweet, and no doubt intended to throw a little publicity on The Rover. Australian actor, Pearce, kicked off the simple greet, saying:

“Hi everybody at Tropfest, I’m Guy Pearce.”

“I’m Rob Pattinson,” said a certain Brit actor next to him, as he batted away an incoming insect.

“Have a good night,” Pearce piped up, which triggered a burst of laughter from Pattinson, who asked, “Am I to continue?”

“I think you are,” Pearce replied drolly.

And with that, it was over.

With filming on The Rover underway, underlined by a recent press release, more windows into the production can be expected.

Directed by David Michod (Animal Kingdom), who penned the script based on an idea co-conceived with Joel Edgerton (Zero Dark Thirty), The Rover has been described as an “existential,” “futuristic western” and a “slow burn thriller.”

Joining Pearce and Pattinson on set are Scoot McNairy (Argo, Killing Them Softly), Gillian Jones (Oscar and Ludinda), David Field (Chopper), Susan Prior, and Anthony Hayes, both of whom starred in Animal Kingdom.

Nutshelled, the plot tells the story of Eric (Pearce), a lone traveler in the Australian desert, who is forced to pursue a ruthless gang of criminals after they steal his car — and something invaluable in it. Along the way, Eric enlists the help of  Reynolds (Rey, Pattinson), described as “the naïve and injured junior member of the gang” who was left behind after a robbery.

Recent sneak peeks of a fight scene with Pattinson shot near Quorn, a small coastal town close to Adelaide, revealed some of the grueling action the film will feature.

Variety reports that the seven week shoot is slated to complete Mid-March with some filming taking place in the mountainous Flinders Ranges, before post-production in Sydney.

From the look of the video, Pearce — who previously described Pattinson as “bright and sensitive” — appear to be in the early throes of “bro-dom,” which bodes well for fun on the promotion trail when The Rover is released.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson defends Kristen Stewart in a recent interview, going on the record about the cheating scandal that ended the relationship of the Twilight actress and her actor boyfriend from both film series, Robert Pattinson.

Watson defends Kristen Stewart in Vanity Fair Italia, lashing out instead at the media who embraced Stewart as a “good girl” but shamed her for a mild indiscretion with director Rupert Sanders after filming Snow White And The Huntsmen.

According to Watson, the media spins the lives of celebrities in such a way any questionable decisions are blown out of proportion, and the star we know best as Hermione Granger seems to understand that Stewart’s very public shaming was laced with a subtle degree of envy:

“Those who criticized her are the same people that think that being rich and famous is like being covered in some kind of magic powder that makes life perfect: Nothing can go wrong in your wonderful world … For these people, Kristen deserves all the bad things that have been thrown at her because she had an amazing life and she ruined it.”

Watson also defends Kristen Stewart‘s mistakes as the sort everyone makes at that age, worsened by the feeling of entitlement people have when it comes to celebrities and their personal lives:

“I don’t know how to explain it, but it sure isn’t perfect. I thought that the media picked on her in a very horrible way. Kristen is human, just like everybody else, and she’s so young. Everyone makes mistakes, everyone. It’s not fair to consider them matters of public interest.”

But as Watson defends Kristen Stewart, she also seems to understand how fandoms get out of control and so heavily invested. She adds:

“On one hand, I can understand why it happened: people felt really involved in her relationship with Robert Pattinson. But it’s also true that they both have done everything in their power to keep their relationship as far from the public eye as possible.”

Robert Pattinson may have swapped the goldfish bowl of Hollywood for Australia, but that doesn’t mean he’s out of sight.

The actor, who has been in Oz since mid-January prepping for his latest film, The Rover, was recently snapped filming in Adelaide’s mountainous Flinders Ranges.

Adelaide Now managed to scoop a few photographs of Pattinson that have now gone around the world, and back.

In the shots, the actor can be seen getting a pasting in a fight scene on the roadside set. The action sequence seemed to require the 26-year-old — who is also sporting a buzz-cut — to stagger out of the passenger side of a vehicle before being beaten to the ground by the driver.

Filming on The Rover has also moved from locations in Quorn, a coastal town about 290 km north of Adelaide and the sparsely populated town of Bruce.

The shoot will reportedly shortly move to other locations deep in the Flinders Ranges this week, before heading further north next month.

Directed by Blue Tongue Film alum and Animal Kingdom helmer David Michod, The Rover also stars Guy Pearce (L.A Confidential, Memento), and Scoot McNairy (Killing Them Softly, Argo).

Last year, the Pattinson described The Rover as:

“[It's] a kind of a western. It’s very existential. It’s really interesting. I couldn’t really explain to you what it’s about but it’s sort of about how much pain can the world take and how much disgust and cruelty before love dies. I think that’s kind of what it’s about.”

The whole thing is set in the near-future and it will be interesting to see what dimension, if any, that brings to a production film buffs are already talking up on “Most Anticipated Film Lists.”

It’s probably quite an eye-opener for local Australians to see Pattinson out and about in Adelaide, but from the look of recent fan interactions, the actor seems happy enough to shoot the breeze.

Liberty Ross and Rupert Sanders have officially called time on their marriage.

The British model-actress has filed for divorce from the Snow White and The Huntsman director in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

According to TMZ,  Ross, 34, has hired celebrity lawyer Laura Wasser, who has also handled cases for Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, and Heidi Klum, and is asking for joint custody of their children — seven-year-old Skyla and five-year-old Tennyson — as well as spousal support.

Sanders, 41, who is represented by attorney Lance Spiegel, has reportedly filed a response to the petition and is also asking for joint custody. While Sanders is not seeking spousal support, he has requested that the cost of the proceedings are split with Ross.

Ross and Sander’s nine-year-marriage was subjected to worldwide scrutiny after explosive pictures of Sanders and actress Kristen Stewart were published last July by Us Weekly magazine.

During the resulting furor, both Ross and Sanders’ relationship and Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s came under intense speculation during promotion for both The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, and Pattinson’s Cosmopolis.

At the time, Stewart released a public apology in People.com. Sanders released a similar statement, saying:

“I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”

Since then, Stewart, 22, has rekindled her relationship with Pattinson, while Ross — who played Stewart’s mother in the first film — reportedly insisted that Sanders step away from the Snow White and The Huntsman sequel, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Despite reports last year that Ross and Sanders were attempting to salvage their relationship and attending therapy sessions, the estranged couple have not been seen publicly together for some months.

For her part, Ross, told Style.com in October last year:

“I believe we’re all on journeys and we are all given lessons at certain times in our life, and sometimes when things seem really bad you have to be able to see the good and learn from it. And just move forward as graciously as possible.”

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are reportedly still going strong despite the fact that they’re on opposite ends of the world right now.

The famous couple is in the midst of a temporary separation while Robert Pattinson is working in Australia, but a source told E! News that their on the relationship front, “all is good.”  Tabloids had been chattering about the couple being in trouble, but the source insisted that neither Rob nor Kristen is worried about the relationship.

Robert is down under to shoot The Rover with Gary Pearce, and has been seen around Adelaide.

Some of the rumors about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had come from a Hollywood Life report that said there was growing distance between the Twilight stars. Their relationship seemed to be especially shaky after a scandal this summer where Kristen confessed to cheating with director Rupert Sanders.

Kristen Stewart actually apologized again back in December, leaving some to wonder whether there was trouble between the couple.

The report said the couple was undergoing a “trial separation,” but Kristen was growing impatient at the lack of contact from Rob.

“It seems like she’s going to fly out there, despite the fact that he has cut their communication down a lot,” our source continues. “He’s barely picking up her calls [or] responding to her messages.”

The source from E! News discounts these reports, saying that they’re doing fine and Kristen isn’t itching to get to Australia.

“She still plans on going to visit him at some point while he is there filming, but definitely not now,”  the source said of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

Robert Pattinson has arrived in Australia to shoot his new film The Rover.

After presenting at Sunday’s 70th Golden Globe Awards, the Brit actor partied at HBO’s soiree then hit up hosts Tiny Fey and Amy Poehler’s after-party before Kristen Stewart, Sienna Miller, and Eddie Redmayne joined the fun.

But now it’s back to work.

According to Adelaide Now, after flying from LAX earlier this week, Pattinson (and his guitar) jetted into Adelaide from Melbourne on Wednesday, January 17.

The 26-year-old is set to begin a months long shoot partly at Adelaide Studios and partly in the Flinders Ranges through February and March. The Flinders Ranges is the largest mountain range in South Australia and is located approximately 200 km north-west of Adelaide.

If that all sounds very “outback,” that’s because it should.

Directed by David Michod (Animal Kingdom), last year Pattinson described The Rover as:

Meanwhile, Pattinson’s departure seems to have touched off a gossip meltdown.

The free-for-all kicked off on January 16 when The Sun quoted a talkative, anonymous source who declared Pattinson and Stewart had split up for a “second time.” The source further claims the couple have cooled off their relationship and gone back to being “good friends.”

Predictably the echo chamber — otherwise known as entertainment journalism — has picked up the ‘story’ and given it the legs it doesn’t really possess.

To add to the madness, some are reporting that Pattinson and Stewart are actually setting up a love nest in Montmartre, Paris, while others are already buying hats.

Ironically, these inconsistencies come just as Forbes names the pair Hollywood’s number one highest grossing romantic couple.

Compared to a rapacious press, the appeal of the Australian outback suddenly makes complete sense.

Robert Pattinson has decided to call time on his romance with Kristen Stewart, again, just months after the duo rekindled their romance.

Pattinson dumped Stewart after she was caught on camera kissing her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders. The Harry Potter actor, though, forgave his Twilight star, but it would now appear that he was unable to look beyond her discrepancy.

The Sun has reported that the actor broke the news to Kristen over the past weekend after the couple endured a tense period over the holidays. He then added that they would be better off as friends.

Fans of the couple will have noticed that the pair haven’t been seen in public together since November 27 when they were pictured catching a flight out of New York’s JFK together.

It is believed that they spent Christmas apart, even though they were together for Thanksgiving just a few weeks before.

Pattinson even appeared by himself at the Golden Globes on Sunday, but US Weekly have claimed that the 22 year-old turned up at a Soho House after-party at 1 am.

“They hung out and stayed close for over an hour,” added a source. However, the insider also added, “She flew to LA and was supposed to be Rob’s date for the Golden Globes, but he told her he wants to cool it off. He loves her but would rather go back to being good friends so they can rebuild their trust and focus on work after Twilight.”

Robert Pattinson stepped out at last night’s 70th Annual Golden Globes with a clean cut and a wide smile and absolutely no chip about the fact that — in truth — his performance in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis deserved a nomination instead of just a presenting gig.

But in a Best Actor cut that mixed Daniel Day-Lewis (Lincoln), Richard Gere (Arbitrage), John Hawkes (The Sessions), Joaquin Phoenix (The Master), and Denzel Washington (Flight), it wasn’t unexpected that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) went for the current best actor Oscar front-runner, who, in fact, did go on to win.

Moving on. Pattinson — who, the LA Times noted was there to root for Phoenix and to party — co-presented with Les Miserables’ Amanda Seyfried in the category of Best Screenplay: Motion Picture. That award was won by a surprised and delighted Quentin Tarantino for his slavery western Django Unchained.

Christoph Waltz also later nabbed Best Supporting Actor for his role in it.

In what’s been a tough few weeks for Tarantino, assailed by the ongoing debate about whether fictional violence affects real-life violence, the Tennessee native’s win last night for one of the few films that addresses America’s slave trade past with style, wit — and yes, violence — must have tasted sweet.

So too for Ben Affleck. Despite his much talked about directorial Oscar snub, Argo managed to take Best Director for Affleck and Best Picture: Drama in a year packed with worthy contenders.

According to the LA Times, in the press room backstage, everybody’s favorite Bostonian later said:

“We got nominated for seven Oscars, including best picture. If you can’t be happy with that, then your prospects for long-term happiness are probably pretty dim.”

Sweeping through, Les Miserables waltzed off with Best musical or comedy, Best Actor: Comedy or Musical for Hugh Jackman and Best Supporting actress for Anne Hathaway.

Lincoln, which had led the way with seven nominations, delivered Day-Lewis’ aforementioned Best Actor: Drama, while Jessica Chastain deservedly won Best Actress: Drama for Zero Dark Thirty, thanking director Kathryn Bigelow for doing “more for women in cinema that you can take credit for,” ITN notes.

Introduced in a hilarious skit by Will Farrell and Kristen Wiig, Jennifer Lawrence — battling the flu — beat out veterans Meryl Streep (Hope Springs), Maggie Smith (Quartet), Judie Dench (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel), and Emily Blunt for (Salmon Fishing In The Yemen) to take Best Actress: Comedy or Musical for Silver Linings Playbook. The popular winner kept it short but got in a killer line about Harvey Weinstein, saying “Thank you for killing whoever you had to kill to get me up here today.”

Undeniably, last night’s Globes were a tremendous success. From the utterly funny opening by hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who proceeded to rip through Ricky Gervais, jokingly likened the HFPA to a disease, an awesome James Franco dig for the 2011 Oscars, and pulled off a money shot zinger for Zero Dark Thirty’s Kathryn Bigelow — “when it comes to torture I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron” — and literally so many more.

Pressing on, former US President’s Bill Clinton’s — who received a standing ovation — surprise introduction for a clip of Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln was a major coup for the Globes.

On stage, Clinton referred to the real Abraham Lincoln’s “tough fight to push a bill through a bitterly divided House of Representatives, winning it required the president to make a lot of unsavory deals that had nothing to with the big issue, I wouldn’t know anything about that.”

Fast forward to Jodie Foster’s many-layered Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement award — that wasn’t a retirement announcement — it made for alternately jaw-dropping and moving watching.

Held against the indisputable weight of her 47 years in the business, Foster at 50 is no less formidable than she was at 13 in Taxi driver and Busgy Malone, which she played in the same year.

During her speech [transcribed here by The Guardian], the mother of two de facto “came out” to an industry that already knew her sexuality and to a worldwide audience that perhaps didn’t. In a frank monologue that included the privacy and dignity themes that she wrote about in defence of Kristen Stewart back in August, last night Foster said:

“So while I’m here being all confessional, I guess I have a sudden urge to say something that I’ve never really been able to air in public. So, a declaration that I’m a little nervous about but maybe not quite as nervous as my publicist right now, huh Jennifer? … But I’m just going to put it out there, right? Loud and proud, right?”

She went on to say:

“I am single. Yes I am, I am single. No, I’m kidding — but I mean I’m not really kidding, but I’m kind of kidding. I mean, thank you for the enthusiasm. Can I get a wolf whistle or something? [here the audio mysteriously muted for seven seconds] … be a big coming-out speech tonight because I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago back in the Stone Age … But now I’m told, apparently that every celebrity is expected to honor the details of their private life with a press conference, a fragrance and a prime-time reality show.”

Today, Foster’s speech is being analysed within an inch of its life everywhere, but it’s bravery and honesty cannot be denied — nor should it be faulted.

In television land, Showtime’s Homeland won its second consecutive award for drama series, with Claire Danes and co-star Damian Lewis taking Best Actress and Actor in a television Series: Drama. Game Change scored Best Miniseries or Television Movie and garnered the Best Supporting Actor in a miniseries to Ed Harris and Best Actress for the same to Julianne Moore.

HBO’s Girls won for Best Television Series: Comedy or Musical and its creator and star Lena Dunham won Best Actress in the related category, while Adele accepted Skyfall’s only award for Best Original Song.

While it is lamentable that Pattinson was overlooked in this awards season, he enters 2013 riding a wave of magnificent reviews for his role in Cosmopolis and now embarks on a bulging and interesting film slate that kicks off imminently with David Michod’s The Rover. Last night’s Golden Globes may well turn out to be the last time Pattinson is shut out of the prestige awards.

Despite snarking from some (predictably Nikki Finke at Deadline), as Fey promised the Golden Globes wrapped before “11 dark thirty” and delivered a party with thrills, spills, and surprises. In short, it was a triumph.

The first era of The Twilight Saga may be over on the big screen, but in terms of DVD, Blu-Ray and merchandise there’s plenty more road left.

Today Lionsgate announced that an extended edition of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 containing eight minutes of never-before-seen footage will debut on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download on March 2.

Variety reports that deleted and extended scenes will be included as well as Bill Condon’s optional audio commentary.

Of the extended editions, Condon said:

“As Twilight series devotees know, there was a lot of ground to cover in adapting Breaking Dawn to the screen. Between the wedding, the honeymoon, the birth, and everything in between, naturally there were things that didn’t make it into our final cut.”

He added:

“But I wanted to make sure that for all the Twihards out there, there was a chance to see some of these cut scenes – several of which are fan favorites from the book.”

Lionsgate’s press release trills that Twilight has been the biggest selling home entertainment franchise since 2008. Impressively, Breaking Dawn – Part 1 took $712, 171,856 worldwide, with Breaking Dawn – Part 2 delivering a franchise worldwide best of $813,833,356.

Recent winner in three of Yahoo!Movies 2012 Ultimate Movie categories — Favorite Film, Kristen Stewart as Favorite Star of 2012, and fictional characters ‘Bella and Edward (Stewart and Robert Pattinson) won Favorite Onscreen Couple.

Eight Extra Minutes Of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Coming To DVD, Blu-ray [Trailer] is a post from: The Inquisitr

Maps to the Stars, David Cronenberg’s in-development indie currently starring Robert Pattinson and Rachel Weisz, may be going forward without his long term collaborator Viggo Mortensen.

In an interview with Details, the Canadian auteur revealed that Mortensen might not sign on for the indie despite earlier indications that this could happen. He said:

“I don’t think Viggo will be able to do it, but with the other two, so far, so good. Have they signed? No. But they have a verbal commitment if everything works out and if other things don’t come along. It’s still very possible for the three of them, but it’s far from certain. That’s life in the indie film world.”

So it’s not a firm “no” to Mortensen, but then it’s not an unqualified “yes” to all three actors either.

Mortensen — whose most recent outing was playing William S. Burroughs in Walter Salles’ adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road — is currently slated for two upcoming films, Lisandro Alonso’s untitled work and Neil Marshall’s Dracula flick, The Last Voyage of Demeter.

Whether or not Mortensen is juggling scheduling, financial concerns, or something personal isn’t clear, but these kinds of logistics certainly become more pronounced in the realm of indie filmmaking.

It’s something Cronenberg has spoken about before. In May 2012, while promoting his latest film Cosmopolis, which also stars Pattinson, the 69-year-old told Indiewire:

“It’s not a go picture. We have a script that I love that Bruce [Wagner] wrote,” he said. “It’s a very difficult film to get made as was Cosmopolis actually. Whether I can get this movie to happen, I tried it five years ago, I couldn’t get it made, so I still might not be able to get it made.”

Since then, both Pattinson and Cronenberg have talked about their hopes for getting the film off the ground. The most recent mentions courtesy of MovieLine’s Jordan Hoffman interview and another with Indiewire.

During his discussion with Hoffman, Cronenberg said he hoped to begin shooting Maps to the Stars this May but warned that “it is an indie project which means, therefore, that it could fall apart.”

With Indiewire, the director gave an insight into why he’s so keen to work with Pattinson again.

 ”I really think he’s a terrific actor. He’s extremely inventive. He surprised me every day on Cosmopolis with the nuances and things that he did which were unexpected. Of course I was very familiar with the dialogue and yet he would surprise me. And I thought, this is a guy who I would like to work with some more, which is how I felt with Viggo Mortensen. When you find an actor who surprises you everyday, you figure, he could do it some more with a completely different role in a completely different movie.”

Of Maps to the Stars, Cronenberg revealed a little more of what drew him to Wagner’s script, saying:

 ”It’s kind of a satire on Hollywood. It’s very typical of Bruce Wagner’s writing. And it’s sort of a condensed essence of Bruce. And while it’s satirical, it’s also very powerful, emotionally, and insightful and funny. And it would be the first time I’ve ever shot a foot of film in the United States. It’s strange, just because of the way the co-production deals work, that even though I’ve had movies that are set in the US like Cosmopolis or The Dead Zone, I’ve never shot in the United States. This would be the first time. And I’m really excited about it.”

In November last year, there was a flurry of excitement when Allocine announced that Rachel Weisz had joined the cast, although Deadline — and now Cronenberg — have confirmed that Weisz and Pattinson are, as yet, committed verbally.

Nutshelled, Map to the Stars’ plot arcs two film industry ex-child stars who become “ruined by Hollywood’s depravity.”

Back in 2006, Cronenberg was keen to separate the film’s premise from Robert Altman’s The Player, telling Variety:

“You could say it’s a Hollywood film because the characters are agents, actors and managers, but it is not a satire like The Player.”

As 2013 casts off, Map to the Stars is now a six-year labor of love for Cronenberg. With that kind of tenacity, optimism that its determined helmer will bring an intriguing premise — and all three cast members — to the big screen, remains.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are going to star in a movie about cheating. The film is not some type of autobiographical epic movie but could be construed as a bit of art imitating life by die-hard fans. The couple met and fell in love while co-starring in the original Twilight movie in 2009.

K-Stew and R-Patz have reportedly been asked to star in a remake of the 1965 hit movie, The Sandpiper, Entertainment Wise notes. The film originally starred Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. The plot of The Sandpiper revolves around a single mom having an affair with a school teacher.

A supposed insider source had this to say about Robert Pattinson during an interview with Hollywood Life:

“He [Rob] recognizes there’s a certain screen magic when he and Kristen are together. Besides, there’s less chance she’ll get in trouble again.”

The “trouble” the source is most likely referring to is the alleged affair Kristen Stewart had with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

Although one of the most talked about celebrity couples may once again be an item, Perez Hilton reports that Robert and Kristen did not spend Christmas together. Pattinson was spotted lifting a pint in London over the holiday. Hilton also noted claims that the actor’s family has allegedly not yet forgiven Stewart for her “wandering lips” and did not want to break bread with her during Rob’s visit home.

Even though Robert Pattinson was without his significant other at the London pub, the photos of his night out on the town posted in Instagram appear to indicate that he was having a good time flying solo.

Yup, Ben Affleck dumped Kristen Stewart … sort of. Stewart had been so excited to work with Affleck, too.

A Producer approached her:

“Hi Kristen. We know that you were excited about working with Ben, but he dropped out, so we got you a replacement … Brad?”

“Kristen Stewart, meet Brad Womack, former Bachelor.”

The trailer door had opened and in walked Womack, grinning like a goof.

Stewart then dug her phone out of her pocket and texted an SOS to her agent, according to Yahoo News.

“Focus” is currently scheduled to begin filming in April.

“I apologize to everyone for making them so angry. It was not my intention.”

Speaking of the many fans who have supported or hated her since the cheating scandal broke, she said:

 ”It’s not a terrible thing if you’re either loved or hated.”

While she may prefer to be loved by her fans, she concludes with a simple philosophy:

“I don’t care [about people's opinions]. It doesn’t keep me from doing my s–––.”

According to PEOPLE, Kristen Stewart then spoke about the end to the Twilight store, noting:

“The only relief when it comes toTwilight is that the story is done … I start every project to finish the mother––, and to extend that [mentality] over a five-year period adapting all of these treasured moments over four books, it was constantly worrying.”

This likely is not the last time we will hear an apology from Kristen Stewart. While she is being seen in public more often with Robert Pattinson, insiders say they are still working hard to repair damage that was already done.

With the upcoming release of Walter Salles On The Road this Friday, its female lead Kristen Stewart, has cleared her schedule to speak about the film and her impressive turn as Marylou, a free-spirited, sexualized, independent woman. It’s a far cry from her Twilight saga character Bella, and she seems to know it.

Speaking with Movieline, Stewart wasn’t afraid to talk about how far she had to go to discover the role of Marylou within her, and how racy the role is in comparison to the vampire series that made her a household name. Marylou, is the former wife and sometimes-lover of Dean Moriarty, an energetic, unconventional, and charming man.

About her character Stewart said:

“By the time it came to bringing it to life, I didn’t want to play just a crazy, wild sexy girl. I wanted to apply all the whys and get to know the people behind the characters. There’s a weight to it. It’s not easy to live a life like that. That’s what makes these people kind of remarkable. It’s a give and take. There’s no way to have this without pain, but they’re not frivolous.

Her relationship to Garret Hedlund’s Dean is an often tulmoutous mess, which isn’t something Stewart is a stranger to, especially given her relationship with Robert Pattinson. Stewart spoke to Collider about the difficulty in playing the complex character:

“I really had to dig pretty deep to find it in me to actually play a person like this. It took a long time. Initially, I couldn’t say no. I would have done anything on the movie. I would have followed in a caravan, had I not gotten a job on it. But, I was 16 or 17 when I spoke to Walter [Salles], for the first time. I was 14 or 15 when I read the book, for the first time. It was easy to connect the dots, after having gotten to know the person behind the character, to see what I would need to pull off a lifestyle like that, but that didn’t happen until deep into the rehearsal process.”

Twilight is over. Christmas is coming. Certainties that are known.

So what better way to celebrate two popular, cultural phenomenons than to bring them both together.

Clearly Jimmy Fallon agreed. On a recent episode of NBC’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, the mischievous funnyman accepted a viewer’s challenge to see two “professional actors” — dressed as Santa — reenact the first, kiss scene between “Edward and Bella” from the first Twilight film.

It’s worth suspending judgment at this point. What happens isn’t at all what you think will happen.

First Fallon introduces the “Bella and Edward” actors. Of course, they’re nothing like Brit actor Robert Pattinson and California ‘beat girl’ Kristen Stewart.

They’re also both dressed as Santa Claus.

Moving set pieces appear courtesy of stagehands behind them. The pieces recreate Bella’s bedroom in Forks, Washington. Music from a piano begins, reminiscent of Carter Burwell’s haunting theme. Then, the dialogue comes.

“How did you get in here?,” says Santa Bella.

“The window,” quips Santa Edward.

“Do you do that a lot?” Santa Bella asks in a shocked tone.

“Just the past couple of months … I find it kind of fascinating,” Santa Edward admits.

And so the sketch goes on, all the way to the big moment. It’s a must see video, for one simple reason.

Despite everything being thrown at it, that could have made it utterly ridiculous — it works. It’s funny, and the laughter is with the actors, not at them.

It also goes to show that true pop cultural moments — and the first Twilight film was arguably that — can transcend absurdity, parody, and perhaps even contempt.

Kristen Stewart is one busy lady.

A day after introducing Bon Jovi at the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy Benefit concert, the actress turned up the heat in New York for the premiere of her latest film On The Road.

Despite the December chill, Stewart — who plays wild bride “Marylou” in the film — hit the red carpet on Thursday evening in a sheer white-floral satin bra and shorts ensemble from Erdem’s Spring 20132 collection.

Joining the actress were Brazilian director Walter Salles and co-stars Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley and Kirsten Dunst.

At the premiere the 22-year-old Stewart told Movie Bytes:

“We all still have to pinch ourselves, considering so many lists of people before us almost got it made. You know, I think it kind of goes to Walter [Salles, director]. he spent ten years putting this thing together. Anyone who’s going to go and make a documentary in search of a possible film … there’s an honor to this story and to the project that’s just not typical in this business.”

Adapted from Jack Kerouc’s seminal beat generation novel of the same name, the movie version has finally come to the big screen 55 years after it published.

After its Cannes Film Festival debut in May to mixed reviews, a shorter cut of On The Road the film played at Film4′s Summer Screen Series in London, the Toronto International Film Festival and the American Film Institute Festival.

Ahead of the film’s limited release in New York and Los Angeles on December 21 — it rolls out in more US theaters in January — Stewart has attended multiple screenings in the past few days as well as making television appearances

The actress also guested on Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show before the premiere on Thursday. Asked how she prepared for a particularly uninhibted performance in a dancing scene in On The Road, Stewart joked:

“You’re doing On The Road, don’t mess it up! … We [the cast] sort of felt like we would do anything for it. Yeah, I was pretty scared of that scene … because my moments are pretty few and far between where I really get to exhibit, like, pure sort of wild nature, exuberance. ”

Changing into casual jeans, hoodie and boots, the actress joined guests and punk icon Patti Smith at Abe & Arthur’s in the meatpacking district of New York City for the film’s afterparty.

Smith, who had good things to say about Kristen and Robert Pattinson earlier this year, looked delighted to be on the road with a leading lady she could perhaps identify with.

Although Kristen Stewart may be excited about no longer being a single lady, she is reportedly not pressing Pattinson for a massive diamond. A source had this to say to OK! magazine about the rumored engagement of the Breaking Dawn stars:

“Kristen is not the type to wear anything too fancy. But Rob wants something that makes a statement, which means he’s got his work cut out finding something that will be original and impressive that she will wear.”

Pattinson apparently got the idea to give Stewart a black diamond ring awhile back when he was writing a song for his significant other. The magazine source had this to say about when the actor was planning on nixing the idea for a traditional diamond engagement ring for Kristen:

“They [black diamonds]are much more rare than regular diamonds, so Rob’s really drawn to the symbolism of that because they both feel like their relationship is extremely rare. Rob plans on taking his time getting the ring design right.”

“I’d love to work with Hrithik Roshan. He’s such a wonderful actor and so good-looking. In fact, if I have a boy, I would want him to look like Hrithik, but with Rob’s eyes.”

Roshan has been described as India’s “most complete actor” according to IMDb. The Hindi film industry is not new to Hrithik’s family. His maternal grandfather. J. Om Prakash, was a director and producer. Prakash reportedly introduced young Hrithik to the movie industry when the child was unknowingly filmed while dancing on the set of Aasha in 1980.

Kristen Stewart’s possible crush was born Hrithik Rakesh Nagrath in 1974 in Mumbai, India. Roshan’s film credits include Zindagi Na Mielgi Dobara, Jodhaa Akbar, and Kites. The actor won Filmfare Awards for Best Actor and Best Male Debut for playing Kaho in Naa … Pyaar Hai in 2000.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 has crossed $ 700 million box office worldwide.

With a total haul of $702,393,000, the finale installment is set to surpass New Moon’s $709 million and become the franchise’s biggest earner worldwide.

“This will be the biggest Twilight movie ever at the box office and the foreign grosses will be the driving force,” Boxoffice.com’s Phil Contrino told The Wrap.

He added,

“These franchise films build and build overseas, and then they explode.”

Post Thanksgiving, Summit’s finale installment maintained its ascendancy at the top of the box office tree for the third consecutive week thanks to stunning overseas ticket sales.

After debuting with $141,067,634 in its opening weekend, the last film in the wildly successful vampire franchise went on to break all kinds of records around the world.

In international terms, Breaking Dawn – Part 2 took $447.8 million after just 17 days.

In comparison, Breaking Dawn – Part 1 needed 98 days to power to $430.9 million, while New Moon took $413.2 million after 133 days and Eclipse racked up $398 million international after 114.

Box Office Voodoo reports:

“By day 14, the second Twilight feature was on $239.9M while BD 1 had just hit $230M – in comparison, this final film had a gross of $237.1M.”

“On Friday, the finale to the Twilight series added $5.6M … through Saturday and into Sunday, it made another $11.8M, bringing its three day total to $17.4M ($256M overall).”

That’s the best overseas performance of any of the installments, as evidenced by the fact that Part 2 shot past Breaking Dawn – Part 1′s $430 million international haul in the last few days.

Specifically, Breaking Dawn – Part 2’s best box office overseas was in the UK ($ 50 million), then Brazil ($41. 6 million) and Russia (CIS, $41.2 million).

But the broad strokes are these: International box office for Part 2 is $447.8 million, domestic rose to $254.6 million, and its worldwide take swells to $702.4 million.

In other film news, Box Office Voodoo reports that Skyfall is now the biggest ever spy movie in history, beating the final box office statistics “for any [films in the] the Mission: Impossible series and every single film in the Bourne series … not to mention being more successful than any other James Bond film.”

Now in its fourth weekend, the 23rd Bond film punches in at $246 million domestic and over $600 million overseas, bringing its worldwide total to a figure north of $800 million.

Lincoln continues to draw acclaim and box office fire. Steven Spielberg’s Civil war historical epic has now grossed $83.6 million. Incidentally, its Spielberg’s biggest domestic release since Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Disney Animation and Paramount’s Rise of the Guardians continues to disappoint — especially during a family holiday — and finished its second weekend with a total of $48,947,000 domestic, $ 57 million overseas, bringing its worldwide total to $105,947,000.

After 12 days, Life of Pi pushes up to a domestic box office of $48,361,000, international stacks up to $60,500,000, bringing its worldwide bank to $108, 861,000. Not bad for a tough sell.

Wreck-It Ralph is still going hard. After earning $7 million this weekend, it’s domestic haul so far is $158,257,000, with international running at $44,000,000. Its worldwide box office now stands at $202,257,000.

Andrew Dominik’s political mob thriller Killing Them Softly starring Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini and Ray Liotta flunked out in its opening weekend, taking $7 million domestically and pulling in $14,917,508 overseas.

With a worldwide tally of just $21,917,508, Exhibitor Relations Box office notes Killing Them Softly “is one of Brad Pitt’s worst live-action debuts ever in wide release.”

Ben Affleck’s Argo broke past $100 million domestically this weekend. After debuting at $19,458, 109, the Iranian hostage crisis thriller/dark comedy has built massive word of mouth matched by content buzz.

It’s remained on the Top 10 chart for seven weeks and now clears the $100 million milestone. Argo’s worldwide romps in at $157, 005,000.

But the ultimate cineplex crown for the past three weeks belongs to The Twilight Saga: Breaking  Dawn – Part 2.

Last week Summit’s parent company, Lionsgate issued a press release revealing it was now, the “first studio outside the traditional majors to eclipse the $1 billion mark at the domestic box office in a single calendar year.”

“The milestone is important on several fronts and illustrates the vitality of the franchise on a global scale even after four films,” Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Co-Chairmen Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger said in a joint statement.

Industry watcher, Larry Richman, nutshelled the achievement, observing:

“Bottom line: the story of Breaking Dawn – Part 2 will not be how it does domestically,  it will be what a worldwide success it’s been.”

That could all change this year as Gere’s performance as cheating, embezzling, hedge fund magnate — Robert Miller — is currently being hailed as the performance of his career.

Released back in August, Gere faces stiff competition when expected nominations for Denzel Washington (Flight), Joaquin Phoenix (The Master), Daniel Day-Lewis (Lincoln) are announced on January 10, 2013, three days ahead of the Golden Globes.

At the luncheon, Gere and Pattinson posed for pictures with Arbitrage’s writer-director Nicholas Jarecki and writer Kirsten Smith.

Jimmy Fallon introduced his latest Thanksgiving edition of “Robert Is Bothered” on Late Night Wednesday.

According to TODAY, said this before revealing the “Robert Is Bothered” clip:

“It turns out Robert Pattinson is really really bothered by a lot of things. This guy is so angry … that a couple of years ago, he started his own website called RobertIsBothered.com just so he can talk about all the different things that bother him.”

In the video, Fallon dressed up as Pattinson’s  Twilight vampire, Edward Cullen. Fallon’s character then launches into a tirade about the holiday. He said:

“Thanksgiving bothers me. Thanksgiving is stupid! And which day is Thanksgiving anyway? All I know is it’s the fourth Thursday in November. What kind of a day is that?! … Well guess what, Thanksgiving? No particular date, no particular thank you!”

It wasn’t just the lack of an actual date that bothered “Pattinson”.  He’s also not impressed by the traditional Thanksgiving foods either. He said:

“Turkeys are stupid, they bother me. You murder a turkey, rip out its insides, then you shove a bunch of bread up its butt, and then you cook it for hours, then expect me to eat it and say thanks!”

He continued to complain by saying, “Stuffing, cooked in a butt, not sanitary. Butternut squash, wants to be a pumpkin but it’s not. Get a real job. Cranberries, too sour, no thank you. And here we go, mashed potatoes … actually, I like mashed potatoes.”

While The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 continues to dominate box offices around the world, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart spent a well-earned Thanksgiving break together with Pattinson’s family in the UK.

After being spotted by an onlooker at London’s Heathrow airport on Friday, the pair boarded a flight bound for New York.

Now that the mammoth promotional tour for the finale installment of the Twilight Saga series is over, it’s likely both actors are keen to spend some quality time out of the public eye before their respective film slates kick off in 2013.

After earning the best notices of his career in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis — currently number two on French film magazine Cahiers du Cinema’s Top 10 films of 2012 — Pattinson will shortly begin filming on the first of a slew of new films.

In January, he will join Guy Pearce and Scoot McNairy on the set of The Rover. Described as a futuristic western, acclaimed Australian director David Michod will direct.

Other films on Pattinson’s to do list, are Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire’s Saddam Hussein thriller Mission: Blacklist and James Marsh’s Hold On To Me — a dark, femme fatale caper that stars Carey Mulligan.

The 26-year-old will also take on the role of T.E Lawrence  — aka ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ — in Werner Herzog’s indie Queen of the Desert with Naomi Watts and Jude Law. Also slated is another collaboration with Cronenberg in Maps to the Stars with Rachel Weisz and Viggo Mortensen.

Similarly, Stewart, also has some exciting irons in the fire.

Recently seen promoting Walter Salles’ On The Road before its December 21 limited US release, the actress picked up some strong reviews for her portrayal of the wild spirited Marylou.

Next up for the 22-year-old are lead roles in dark grifter rom-com Focus with Ben Affleck attached to co-star, and Scott Cooper’s adaptation of William Styron’s 1951 novel Lie Down in Darkness.

Following public fallout after revelations of a tryst with Snow White and The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, in August The Hollywood Reporter claimed Stewart had been dropped from Universal’s planned sequel.

Other reports either refuted THR’s claim or raised questions about manipulation. More recently, when asked if she knew anything about a sequel, Stewart said, “Maybe … no one’s positive or anything, but I think there’s a strong possibility.”

Notwithstanding Radar Online’s recent story claiming Stewart has signed on for the sequel and that Sanders is out, a formal industry announcement is still pending.

Meanwhile, Breaking Dawn – Part 2 retains its box office crown on Thanksgiving weekend eve. After racking up an impressive $ 304.9 million worldwide in its first three days, that figure has now grown to $ 375, 331, 000 and counting.

Directed by Bill Condon, the closer installment broke all kinds of box office records internationally including the UK, France, Sweden, The Netherlands, Belgium, Latin America, Spain, Italy and Brazil.

In addition to an international debut best for the franchise ($199.6 million), Breaking Dawn – Part 2 also delivered the eighth largest opening weekend in history. Three Twilight movies now occupy the Top 10 domestic openings of all time.

Despite Wednesday opening challenges from Rise of the Guardians, Life of Pi and Red Dawn — and Skyfall’s ongoing high — the vampire series’ ascendance at the box office this Thanksgiving is assured.

After pulling in $ 12.8 million on Wednesday and $ 8.1 million Thursday, a domestic tally of $ 183, 781, 000 puts Part 2 $ 4.7 million ahead of Breaking Dawn – Part 1 at the same point last year.

Analysts estimate the Twilight Saga’s swansong could bring in $ 43 million domestic over the holiday. Add that to the finale film’s continuing buoyant overseas performance, and Summit should have plenty to be thankful for after the long weekend.

Robert Pattinson would love to be in Disney’s Star Wars: Episode VII, but on one condition: He wants to play Jar Jar Binks.

Now that The Twilight Saga is ending with the successful-so-far Breaking Dawn Part 2, Pattinson is probably thinking about his career prospects (we know his girlfriend is).

Though Pattinson already has a full slate of projects in his near future with The Rover, Queen of the Desert, and three other films packed into 2013, he admitted he wouldn’t mind getting in on Disney’s new Star Wars trilogy, set to commence in 2015.

Asked recently who he’d hypothetically like to play in Star Wars: Episode VII, Pattinson gave an interesting response.

“In Star Wars? Oh, absolutely. In a heartbeat. I actually kind of like Jar Jar. I don’t understand what the big deal is about Jar Jar.”

The “big deal” about Jar Jar is kind of a hard thing to break down in this post, but Star Wars fans know it’s something that doesn’t need much explanation. However, aside from being thrown under the bus by George Lucas in the final two entries of the prequel series by being set up as the reason for the Empire’s stranglehold on the galaxy in the original trilogy, Jar Jar did survive.

Bear in mind, Pattinson is the kind of guy who likes to play with the media giving at-times awkward and/or humorous and unexpected answers to interview questions.

It didn’t set a new, domestic franchise record, but make no mistake The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 made an absolute killing this weekend.

Dominating box offices and the public’s entertainment conversation, the finale installment in the wildly successful vampire-human-werewolf series took $ 340.9 million worldwide.

Specifically, $ 141.3 million of that came from 4,070 theaters across the US and Canada, while $ 199. 6 million was taken in 61 international markets.

Notably, Breaking Dawn – Part 2 scored the second highest opening weekend for the franchise, coming in behind New Moon’s $ 142.8 million record in 2009 but ahead of Breaking Dawn — Part 1’s $ 138.1 million in 2011.

After a robust start in Thursday late night showings through to Friday midnight which generated $ 30.4 million — the highest midnight run for the franchise — a frontloaded Friday haul racked up $ 71.9 million.

Saturday added another $ 41.8 million and a further $ 27.6 million is estimated from Sunday’s box office.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, this weekend was “the best global opening in the history of the franchise, thanks to massive international business.”

And the milestones kept coming.

As well as hitting a new franchise record for international box office, Friday’s $ 71.9 million opening day (including late night/midnight run) was the sixth highest opening day in history.

Breaking Dawn – Part 2′s box office overall also delivered the eighth highest opening weekend of all time and — along with The Hunger Games’ debut this year — pushed Summit’s parent studio, Lionsgate, past $ 1 billion at the box office. A first for Lionsgate.

Interestingly, director Bill Condon’s closer installment drew more male viewers than previous saga films — 21% of ticket sales. Other statistics revealed 50% of the audiences were aged 25 and above, reflecting the cross-generational appeal of the franchise.

Anticipation for the finale was stoked by a massive promotional tour and premieres around the world with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and the rest of the cast.

Thanks to the fans who came out for Breaking Dawn – Part 2 in a big way, The Twilight Saga goes out with its head held high. Love it or loathe it, female moviegoer consumer power will never be underestimated again.

After all the speculation The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 broke its own franchise record at the box office last night.

Deadline reports that the final film in the quintet series surpassed its previous Thursday night-Friday midnight record and took $ 30.4 million in North America.

The new record beats the $ 30.25 million earned by The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 last year in late night/midnight screenings.

That film went on to take $138.1 million domestically in its opening weekend before ultimately banking $705.1 million worldwide.

A spokesman for Summit Entertainment said:

“The movie is off to a fantastic start.”

Now that the figures for Thursday night/midnight are in, all eyes will be watching to see how director Bill Condon’s finale installment performs over the rest of the weekend.

The closing chapter in the wildly successful vampire franchise has already racked up $ 38.8 million overseas.

Box office analysts are predicting Breaking Dawn – Part 2 could earn up to $ 150 million in North America and topple the $ 142. 8 million domestic record currently held by the second film in the series New Moon.

[Update: Deadline reports that Breaking Dawn - Part 2 is "running behind" Part 1's $ 138.1 million domestic debut and is expected to cap at around $135 million this weekend for US-Canada, $65 million of that belonging to Friday night].

The series’ leads Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner took their final bow today at the last premiere in Berlin.

Meanwhile, the number crunching continues as The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens in a total of 61 foreign markets this weekend.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner brought star wattage to London’s Leicester Square on Wednesday night for the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2.

Against a backdrop of Christmas lights and the screams of over 6000 fans, the three stars worked their way down the red carpet signing autographs and taking pictures with fans, as well as giving press interviews.

Stewart, wearing her second Zuhair Murad creation in three days, dazzled in a sheer black lace jumpsuit with beadwork and plunge back detail.

Opting for a tousled hairstyle rather than the stylized look she debuted in Los Angeles, the effect was daringly modern.

Pattinson kept it classic in a tailored, deep blue Burberry suit, while Lautner went for a navy Z Zegna ensemble.

Looking visibly relaxed and comfortable with each other, Pattinson and Stewart were pictured holding hands at several points during the evening, which should finally silence the ‘are they/aren’t they?’ debate.

During the round of red carpet interviews, Stewart was asked by the event’s host — TV presenter Alex Zane — how it felt receiving such a rapturous reception.

“Oh man, it’s so not normal for any actor, for any person, to share something like this,” the actress replied. “This is a weird night, I don’t know, I’m so happy that every single bit of the story is done.”

Later asked what she would take away from playing her Twilight Saga character Bella, the 22-year-old told film outlet Heyuguys:

“It’s hard to put your finger on something like that to be honest.” She added, “It coincided with a very formidable few years — 17–21 — a lot goes on during that time.”

Pattinson and Lautner were also asked about their The Twilight Saga experience. The Brit actor told Zane:

“For me, it’s changed everything about my life. I don’t even think I’d be acting if I wasn’t doing this.”

Put on the spot about which scene out of the whole series was especially memorable, the 26-year-old admitted that the harrowing birth scene in Breaking Dawn — Part 1 was “one of the most hilarious things I’ve ever done.”

Not forgetting the fans who helped propel him to super stardom, Pattinson joked to Zane, “Thank you guys all so much for everything over the years. You’re pretty good fans. You’re alright, you’ll do!”

Other cast members present were Myanna Buring, Jamie Campbell Bower and Judith Shekoni. Director of both Breaking Dawn installments, Bill Condon and producer Wyck Godfrey also attended.

A less circus-esque affair than Monday’s L.A premiere, the event featured video messages from absent cast members such as Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser, Gil Birmingham and Daniel Cudmore.

Non-Twilight stars at the event included Olympic medalist Rebecca Addlington, Peaches Geldof, X-Factor contenders Union J and James Arthur, some of the cast of UK reality show The Only Way Is Essex, and girl band The Saturdays.

Towards the end of the night, Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner joined the rest of the cast on the balcony above the Empire cinema.

After a glowing introduction by Condon, Pattinson joked to the crowd below,“Thank you very much and just be thankful you’re next to a Burger King.”

Capping the evening, Lautner added, “This is amazing. We’ve been coming here for four years now and you guys you haven’t stopped, so thank you so much for everything.”

Two down, two to go. Next stop Madrid.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart led the charge at the much anticipated Breaking Dawn – Part 2 world premiere in Los Angeles last night.

Attended by thousands of screaming, placard bearing fans — many of whom had camped for days — the black carpet event marked the first of four send-offs for Summit Entertainment’s wildly successful $ 2.5 billion franchise.

It was also the first opportunity for the entire cast of the last film in the series to come together after just over a month of international and domestic promotion.

Channeling old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist, Stewart, 22, wore a racy sheer gold-nude Zuhair Murad gown that revealed her slim figure. The actress matched her bygone era look with side swept, softly waved hair and dramatic make-up.

Pattinson, 26, wore an emerald green Gucci suit. “I had a dream about an emerald green houndstooth suit, and I got Gucci to make it,” the actor told reporters on the carpet.

Flanked by security as they arrived at the theater, the couple signed autographs and took pictures with fans individually before press interviews and joint shots on the carpet.

“I know the most go-to answer for everyone on these carpets is ‘Oh my gosh, this is so surreal,’” Stewart told the Los Angeles Times. “But to be honest with you, this time is so completely surreal. I’m trying to absorb it. I’m trying to be here.”

Her message to the fans that morphed the first, small Twilight movie into a commercial and pop culture juggernaut:

“I just wanna say. I never know what to say other than hi and thank you for – it sounds so cheesy but – taking the ride.”

In another part of the quadrant, Pattinson revealed a long running fear to MTV’s Josh Horowitz when asked how he felt about the big night:

“I’m always generally thinking ‘am I gonna get shot tonight?’ Every time I go out in public I think that. It’s really calm though this time, it’s not that crazy.”

After he was handed the winner’s award in MTV’s ‘Twi-Fight’ (most kick-ass Twilight character), Pattinson joked about beating Stewart. “Did she get second place?” he asked, laughing at the affirmative reply. “I wanna see that … someone has to call me back … when that happens.”

Taylor Lautner, third player in the saga’s’ trifecta, articulated the bittersweet feeling of the night to Reuters:

“I’m feeling fantastic, sad, emotional, there’s a lot of things going on inside of me right now but I’m just trying to soak up every moment because this means the world to me.”

Other cast members present included Billy Burke, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Green, Mackenzie Foy, Maggie Grace, Michael Sheen, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz and an almost unrecognizable brunette Dakota Fanning. All thanked the fans in a special ‘Fan Cam’ set up by the event’s live streaming host Yahoo! Movies.

Keenly aware of the symbiotic relationship between the fans and the characters they shaped and created, director Bill Condon and grand dame author Stephenie Meyer also had heartfelt words for the ‘Fan Cam.’ Meyer said:

“Everybody’s been saying to me tonight that ‘Oh look you’re the reason why we’re all here’ and it’s really not true. The reason why we’re here is because you guys are unbelievable [...]  I cannot tell you how much of an impact you’ve made on my life and I so appreciate you.”

Among the non-Twilight stars who attended the premiere were soft rock legend Stevie Nicks, The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik, Saoirse Ronan and Elle Fanning.

After the film was screened, cast, creatives, crew and guests (in all, about 3, 500) headed to the after party inside Nokia Event Dock. Décor was themed with mini set reproductions from each Twilight movie and guests were greeted by the sight of Bella’s orange pickup truck.

The party lasted until around 01.00 am and all — including a casually dressed Pattinson and Stewart who arrived together — reportedly enjoyed a night either drinking, singing and dancing up a storm on the dancefloor.

From here, the Twilight Saga’s last hurrah moves on to premieres in London, Madrid and Berlin where they will do the whole thing again, though on a smaller scale. A pop culture phenomenon is taking its final bow. For now.

The tents have disappeared, but the 2, 250 Twilight Saga fans that thronged downtown Los Angeles for the past four days haven’t gone too far.

In just a few hours, battalions of fans, press, TV crews, celebrities and the cast of Lionsgate-Summit’s $ 2.5 billion franchise will descend on the Nokia Theater for the world premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

The black — not red — carpet has already been rolled out in preparation, but if you can’t be there — fear not. Yahoo! Movies will be live streaming the event from 7.30 pm ET, 4.30 pm PT, 00.30 GMT.

If anyone’s ever heard screaming levels at previous premieres, tonight’s could threaten the sound barrier. It’s going to be mayhem outside the Nokia Theater tonight — extremely well organized — but mayhem nevertheless.

And, of course, tonight all eyes will be on Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

It will be the first red (black) carpet for the pair since revelations of Stewart’s tryst with Snow White and The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders unleashed an orgy of media — and, some fan — recrimination.

Since then the couple have reportedly reunited, and despite last minute gossip pieces in The New York Daily News and The Times all but stating that their relationship is either a sham or on shaky ground, recent comments by Pattinson and Stewart suggest otherwise.

Asked point blank whether his relationship with Stewart was “being used to market theTwilight movies,” Pattinson told The Washington Post’s Jen Chaney:

“For one thing, it would be a terrible marketing tool, and it’s not utilized very well at all. People will say anything. I’m still amazed that people even believe anything [that’s said about us].”

“I mean, it’s one of the craziest things about the whole situation, where you can see the whole — is paradigm the right word? — of celebrity gossip, celebrity culture type stuff that’s literally entirely made up.”

Likewise, Stewart pushed back in the Los Angeles Times, saying, “People are just going to write the movie version of your life and consume it the way they please.” Adding, ”But you knew nothing about my relationship before. You know less now. How could you?”

Moving on, the pageantry of four Breaking Dawn Part 2 premieres — LA, London, Madrid and Berlin — now beckons.

Almost four years to the day since the first Twilight movie was released in 2008, Meyer’s emotive, fantasy series went on to storm the young adult (and upwards) demographic. Catapulting its lead actors — and supporting ones — to uber stardom, no-one imagined such a graphically restrained love story would take such a hold of the public’s consciousness.

But it did, and the thousands that will attend the premiere tonight and the millions viewing it around the world want to celebrate that fact one last time. Unquestionably a true pop culture phenomenon, this is a collective moment to enjoy.

After Kristen Stewart faced off that question on the Today show, Robert Pattinson’s next day appearance must have seemed like the ideal opportunity to the show’s co-anchor, Savannah Guthrie, to repeat the trick.

Except it didn’t quite turn out like that.

After a clip from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was shown, Pattinson bantered with Guthrie about everything from Edward’s “enormous eyebrows” and the “slow death” of getting older to staying in touch with cast mates and napping.

But it wasn’t long before Guthrie went for the money-shot.

“So, yesterday I asked Kristen Stewart if you two had gotten back together,” Guthrie began, before repeating Stewart’s ‘Keep ‘em guessing’ line back to Pattinson. “Alright, so I’m going to ask you.”

It was at this point that the Brit actor very calmly said:

“What I want to ask, because we get asked it all the time. It’s funny ‘cos everyone always asks for like four years. It’s like, ‘Who is actually asking?’ Is it in your contract?”

As a slightly befuddled Guthrie tried to recover with a joke about “fine print,” Pattinson’s quiet “yeah” said it all.

The Today host attempted to turn her earlier invasiveness into a comment on celebrity culture, asking her guest:

“Does it get annoying? Is it a high price to pay? You’ve gotten these films, it’s made you incredibly famous, there’s been so much good with it. But it is, you know, personal now.”

Then, Pattinson revealed the modus operandi he’s basically used in all his interviews since the scandal revelations in July.

“It doesn’t have to be,” the actor replied, laughing. “It only becomes personal if you answer it. I could just sit here and talk nonsense about paper rounds and stuff, and getting old, needing a nap.”

It’s not often that a guest on a high profile network television show gets to tell an anchor where sane, decent boundaries lie. But today Pattinson did.

Brit actress Rachel Weisz is to join Robert Pattinson and Viggo Mortensen in David Cronenberg’s six-year labor-of-love project Maps to The Stars.

Today, French site Allocine (via The Film Stage) announced Weisz (The Mummy franchise, The Lovely Bones, The Whistleblower) as the film’s third key cast member.

With a script penned by veteran producer-screenwriter Bruce Wagner (State of the Union, White Dwarf) and Saïd Ben Saïd (Carnage, Passion, Far), Martin Katz, and German Integral Films producing, Indiewire reports that “plans are underway for production to begin in May all on a budget of $15 million.”

It will also be the first film Cronenberg shoots on US soil. Nutshelled, the plot arcs two film industry ex-child stars who become “ruined by Hollywood’s depravity.”

Back in 2006, Cronenberg was keen to separate the film’s premise from Robert Altman’s The Player, tellingVariety:

“You could say it’s a Hollywood film because the characters are agents, actors and managers, but it is not a satire like The Player.”

He added,

“Hollywood is a world that is seductive and repellent at the same time, and it is the combination of the two that makes it so potent. I won’t fall back on some clichés or simplistic sloganeering, because the culture and what it reveals about Western culture and the rest of the world is very complex.”

In May, when he and Pattinson were promoting the critically acclaimed Cosmopolis at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, the director described Maps To The Stars as “very extreme. It’s not obviously a very big commercial movie, and even as an independent film it’s difficult.”

Previous unsuccessful attempts by Cronenberg to raise money were put into focus when he told Time that Maps To The Stars made Cosmopolis “look easy to finance.”

Getting a high wattage cast for a very modest budget seems to be one of Cronenberg’s gifts, however, and this project is now moving forward — although Deadline reports deals for all three stars have yet to be signed.

Weisz — coming off Oz: The Great and Powerful and The Bourne Legacy — is a powerhouse actress in her own right and an interesting addition to a mix that includes Mortensen (Eastern Promises, A History of Violence, Lord of the Rings) and a reloaded post-Cosmopolis Pattinson.

Throw in Cronenberg at the helm, and the possibilities get even more intriguing.

Rumor has it that although Kirsten Stewart and Robert Pattinson are back together Pattinson would prefer to take things slowly according to news source Heat.  Even though the high profile couple has been seen out together on multiple occasions it seems as if that is not the real story.

Heat, a British Tabloid, says that Pattinson is going to be spending three months in Australia filming The Rover and that he told Kristen Stewart she is not welcome to join him.

The insider quoted in the article says:

“Rob’s decision to leave Kristen behind has left her crushed. They’re back together, but Rob is still hurting and feels that some time apart could be just what he needs.

The same insider said that Pattinson told Stewart he is not going to making any sacrifices for her either professionally or personally.

There are conflicting reports coming out about the conflict between the two of them also.  Gossip Cop says that it is totally ridiculous that a visit from Stewart would do anything to jeopardize Pattinson’s career.  Not only is Robert Pattinson at the top of his game right now but the couple is still completely adored by the entire world.

The only explanation for what Heat said could be that Stewart might make an emotional impact on Pattinson while he is working but it would seem that that would not affect him anyway.

Kristen Stewart took a leaf out of Robert Pattinson’s post scandal interviews and kept her personal life close to her chest on the Today show this morning.

Faced with hosts Savannah Guthrie, Matt Lauer, and Natalie Morales, a casually dressed Stewart batted away an “are you back together with Robert Pattinson?” query from Guthrie, replying:

“Funny you mention that. I’m just going to let people watch whatever little movie they like to think our lives are and go for you know. Keep ‘em guessing, I always say.”

Given Stewart’s surprise Monday visit to the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live to watch Pattinson being interviewed, her evasion today will likely be seen by some as a bid for column inches just before The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2′s big debut.

Or maybe this 22-year-old is — understandably — simply wary after a summer of pejorative headlines and molten, online opinion.

Stewart did get a chance to talk about letting go of her movie character, Bella Swan.

“I’m okay walking away but at the same time I could keep it for another five,” said the actress.

Sharing her take on Bella’s journey in the massively successful Twilight Saga series, she added:

“Fear is a funny thing when you’re that age — it’s — it can be a motivator, it can cripple you, and Bella’s always been the type of person to – once one of those walls are broken down she doesn’t try to build them back up.”

Later, that same morning on Live with Kelly and Michael, the actress pulled off a burnt orange Victoria Beckham cocktail dress and joked about a room “devoted” to sneakers in her new downtown L.A. pad.

It was a big night for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart last night.

Beginning the first of many talk show dates as they promote The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, Pattinson headed for Jimmy Kimmel Live while Stewart got cozy on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

First up was Stewart.

Wearing Christian Louboutin heels and a Peter Pilotto striped mini-dress, the actress charmed her way through the short interview.

Dropping more than a hint about her resumed relationship with Pattinson, the 22-year-old also shared her take on life as one of the most recognizable actresses on the planet.

When asked if she would miss playing Twilight’s Bella Swan, looking at the excitable studio audience Stewart joked,“No, especially not these guys like ever ever.”

Talking about fame, the star complimented the Japanese on their low-key approach to celebrity:

“I just got back from Tokyo and it is an entirely different way there. It’s like people recognize you, maybe they come within five feet and just are like [covering her mouth by way of example] — and I really, really, really dig that.”

But it was when Leno asked the actress about the Halloween mask she was recently seen in at a party last week that things turned risque.

“There were masks next to really weird sex toys, next to — like — fish flavored tootsie rolls, and I bought it all,” said Stewart. The “ow!” that followed left no-one in any doubt what she meant.

More laughs came when the actress pitched Breaking Dawn — Part 2’s plot.

“Well, popped one out. Pretty concerned about that. Me and Edward are doing quite well. People are trying to kill my baby but I am, like, super-spectacular now so I can take care of that — being a vampire.”

Of the much hyped ending to the finale installment, Stewart teased:

“It is so shocking, to be honest. I couldn’t be more inside of it. I couldn’t be more in the loop. Every time I see it or even think about it I get giddy. It freaks me out.”

Over at Kimmel, after walking a gauntlet of fans and flashbulbs, a certain Brit was in playful form. Self-deprecation, bendy legs, “ridiculous” socks, “clown” shoes, weird noises — Pattinson brought it all.

Revealing that he’d skydived during a recent press trip to Australia, the actor described it as, “something I’ve always wanted to do. That’s also how I want to die.”

Getting topical, Kimmel asked his guest if he felt left out of the current election fever to which Pattinson replied:

“I don’t like any kind of responsibility. I would vote for people like me to not be able to vote.”

After a brief clip from Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was shown, the 26-year-old said what he remembered most from his time on The Twilight Saga was the film crew carrying ‘boom’ microphones (said fur balls) everywhere.

A major surprise (for ‘Robsten’ watchers, that is) was the swoop visit Stewart paid to Kimmel’s Hollywood Boulevard studio. Waiting backstage while her beau was interviewed, the back-on couple left together.

Snapped boarding a private jet in Los Angeles today, the pair were headed for New York for yet another round of TV appearances.

After a summer of blazing headlines and online fury, there is something amazing about the fact that these two appear to be not only surviving but thriving. While some remain convinced the couple’s reconciliation is nothing more than a “showmance” to send a $ 2.5 billion franchise out on a series’ best, it seems the reality is kicking the cynics to the curb.

There are now only 15 days until The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 lands in multiplexes around the world.

A gargantuan amount of product has already been released, but Summit are clearly keen to mobilize fan anticipation with drip-feed reveals right up until the film’s debut on November 16.

In addition to a raft of clips, stills, TV spots, competition giveaways ,and Twitter takeovers, a tsunami of interviews are now coming out from the press junket that took place in Los Angeles last Thursday.

Tonight, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will hit up The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel Live before walking the red carpet at a slew of premieres next week.

Now that the specter of a box-office disconnect between fans and director Bill Condon’s finale installment has been kicked to the curb with the reconciliation of Pattinson and Stewart, the push to end a $ 2.5 billion franchise on a high is well and truly on.

In an interview with Premiere magazine, Pattinson said:

“I feel like the last movie will get a better welcome. It was made for fans, it’s almost like a love letter to them. The film is funny, very tender and it doesn’t try to draw in an audience that isn’t its [audience]. You’ll see, this is exactly why it will please fans the most.”

The biggest one yet? Wouldn’t bet against it.

‘The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn – Part 2′: Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough is a post from: The Inquisitr

Robert Pattinson wishes he could reshoot the first kiss scene Bella had with Edward in the first installment of the Twilight saga.  Twilight follows the story of Bella, a depressed loner who falls in love with Edward, a caring and compassionate vampire.

In an interview with MTV News, Pattinson said:

“We reshot it twice. I messed it up again. It’s hard though. That was a hard scene. That was the audition scene as well. But, it’s like in order … I don’t know. It’s just a difficult one.”

Pattinson and co-star Kristen Stewart have been dating in real life for many years as well.  The two recently weathered a storm because Stewart got caught making out with her director from Snow White and the Huntsman.  The two separated for a time and even went through the motions of selling the house they shared in California.

The couple has since made up and have very publicly been showing their affection for each other.  As reported by Dusten Carlson of The Inquisitr, there is speculation that the two only made up and are making a big deal of their affections in order to drum up press and support for the final installment of the Twilight Saga, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part Two,” set to release on November 16.

Twilight has been one of the more successful franchises in recent movie history.  The movies and subsequent franchises are based on the books by Stephenie Meyer.
