Robert Burck, better known as the Naked Cowboy, will be announcing his intentions to run for Mayor of New York City in the upcoming elections.

Burck, a street performer in New York best known for playing his guitar on the streets while wearing nothing but his cowboy boots, briefs and a hat, says he plans a transparent campaign. Newsday is reporting that Burck will announce his intent to run for mayor on Wednesday in Times Square.

The Naked Cowboy will be going up against current Mayor, Michael Bloomberg who has been Mayor for 2 terms and has already announced he’ll be running for a third.
